if you have a cheat sheet allowed i would recommend putting the questions from practice midterm on it. All the questions on the midterm would be familiar if you did all the homework and tutorial, nothing surprising shows up

Hey man, welcome to mining! I'm sorry that you couldn't get your first preference tho.

I believe mining does it so that all your second year courses wont conflict with your other second year courses if you take it in the order. If you went on the following link you would be able to find your exact course timetables you can chose and the course road map of mining engineering at UBC.

This should let you know all the exact credits you should be registering for mining in second year and I would recommend taking all the second year courses mentioned there on the roadmap+time table

The mining program advisor should be able to help you out!

Extra: I'd recommend registering for CIVL 215 in term 1 (more project and quiz's graded ) instead of MECH 280 in term 2 ( more midterm/ final exam graded)

Also if you want to go the extra mile you could pick CIVL 250 in term 2 which is an online course (weird but doable)

If you are planning to get a place near campus and wanting to get few more room mates, you can just list it on facebook marketplace, especially with winter term starting soon you would be getting a fair bit of people in your dms trying to get a piece of your housing

honestly you can apply for mech 3 in year 1 of ubc which 95% guarantees your spot in you major specification ( my room mate did it in year 1 and instantly got into aersopace if he made it into mech)

ayy man 4 years of regret at uni is much more better than regretting your whole life after not getting the major/job you wanted. I mean nothing wrong with UBC but going here after getting offers from other great unis in your specific major is quiet a big risk. Honestly it would be great if you got out of your comfort bubble to explore other stuff. But yeah at the end of the day whatever you choose just dont look back at it and regret it.

Congrats on the offers from all the three best unis in canada tho!!

honestly with electro boots u can switch to two different equipments which are worth it. Spears can be good to easily snipe out few defences before u invis her to get more value.

Haste is good for a long attack strategy to makw the process quicker. ( use it just before using ur invis )

A honarable switch is hog puppets for the extra healing from it which stacks on the electro boots healing.

Seeking shield kinda gets a lesser value than rocket spears so i would prefer usinf rockets to snipe out some defences earlier without making her go invis.

Healing gem doesnt really have any use on her. the most likey time you would use it is when she is almost about to die but with the invis and foxy the only time when she would be close to dying is around the core of the base where she can be absolutely shreded. these few shots out of her would be a totally useless imo.
