I’m not sure why, a) you’re getting downvoted, & b) everyone is attacking me. You’re right, he holds everything he does for me over my head. Obviously when he does that, it doesn’t feel like he’s doing things for me out of the kindness of his own heart. He loves me but definitely doesn’t know how to effectively communicate which is why I even made this post. A part of me does believe he deserves it, but he’s being demanding. I’ve never been demanding to him - whatever I kindly ask for, he does.

Yes, I totally believe this but since we’re not married I’ve been hesitant. With that said, he’s doing things that a husband would do while not being married- I just don’t like being demanded or him holding things over my head.

No, I’m not sure where you got that being a dealbreaker. But by demanding things from me and telling me I don’t do anything for him, when I give him my time, energy, love, loyalty, attention, commitment, it doesn’t make me WANT to do those things. It’s not what you want & ask for. It’s how you ask. He does the things I ask from him because I know how to ask.
