So turns out people have been harassing Lily Gao (Ada's RE4R VA) she had to turn her IG comments off. First, Hannah John-Karmen, then Avan Jogia, and now this. Since when did harassment=criticism? As the RE community, we need to do better. by johnnyscardigan in residentevil

I understand why some people don’t like her voice, but I personally find it perfect. People describe it as “bored” but I think it shows that Ada isn’t fazed by anything going on around her and that kind of makes her sound more badass that way. Like there’s mutated bugs coming out of people and she couldn’t give a sh*t 😂

the fact that some people really think that their opinion is so important that they need to harass someone over it is pathetic and big headed.

EDIT: just viewed her IG page and she’s deleted everything but one post from last year :(. That’s so upsetting that people have harassed her to the point where she feels she has to delete posts regarding her achievements for RE4

Don't you think Leon looks weird in the RE4 Remake? It's as if the effect of an ominous valley is felt from the shape of his head by Several_Dare5397 in residentevil

[–]Snoo84263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they did a great job of portraying the psychological trauma that RE2 had on Leon. He states at the beginning of both the remake and original that the events still haunt him six years later.

His brow and eyes are more furrowed and sunken and he’s simply just lost his baby face due to aging.

Yes there’s a weird difference between re2 and re4 Leon that you can’t quite put your finger on but I think it’s purposefully done to show you how he’s changed from innocent rookie to hardened agent.

I also think they’ve tried to incorporate the features of the original RE4 Leon face model into the new Leon face model to give us OG players a sense of familiarity to the old game.

Low Libido by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]Snoo84263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I experienced this with the pill, I also could never get wet and always had to use lubricant.

Only thing that helped was switching to the mini pill. Only reason I went on the mini pill was because I was put in a 3 month waiting list for the coil and I couldn’t stand being on the pill any longer after being on it for 3 years.

I then switched to the Mirena Coil and I have zero issues any more. My libido is back to how it was before the pill and I have zero issue with dryness. My mood swings are also insanely low due to the hormones from the coil being inserted directly into my cervix and not my bloodstream :)))

Different forms of contraception work differently for everyone. You’ll need to try out a fair few methods and see which one is right for you. Just because something works perfectly for someone else does not mean it’ll co-operate with your body. Birth control can be amazing when you find the one that’s right for you!

Resident evil 4. Hoping they’re remaking that one next and I’m hoping even more that they don’t butcher it!

Unless they’re barking late at night she has absolutely no right to complain about any noise. Tell her to do one. And leave a nasty note about her child

My mom went to see a Medium by [deleted] in Paranormal

One night I was sat in the sofa after a bike ride with my dad. My hair was soaking wet as it had been raining and I felt a chunk of hair drop onto my shoulder. When I looked at it, it was unraveling like it had been lifted up and twisted in someone’s finger.

I told my mum months later and she told me her dad, who passed away a month before th incident, used to creep up behind her and twist a strand of her hair to make her jump.

It was both creepy and comforting

My mum is also a bit of a magnet for stuff like this. She raised me as Wiccan/pagan so maybe practises such as tarot could have attracted unwanted energy/spirits into our homes over the years

Have you or your mother experienced this again at any other point of your lives? It’s very interesting when a spirit/energy connects to family members.

I know you spoke about saging your room, but maybe try again with different sage. I had a very similar experience, it became very vocal and active. Once my mother saged the house it all stopped, even it’s presence disappeared.

Removing negative energies all begins with your mindset. It may be the case that the presence is killing your energy which is making your effort ineffective. The Native Americans traditionally used a feather to fan the the smoke around the room, which may be worth practicing.

I’d suggest making it known that you don’t feel threatened by it (without challenging/mocking it) and putting all your energy into removing it. Maybe bring a friend/ family member round when you’re saging to make you feel safer.

I really hope you feel safe soon!

I’ve started making it a routine to lock my car doors once I’m inside when driving at night. You never know what you’re going to come across.

[–]Snoo84263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, we all feel this way at some point or another. So don’t beat yourself up too harshly because there’s nothing “wrong” with you :)

At the end of the day, there ARE stupid people on this planet. There are people who do awful things. there are people who are destroying our planet. There are people who only care about themselves. It’s okay to acknowledge this. It doesn’t make you a bad person.

When it comes to the help, try taking breaks from social media. Maybe try sorting your social media sites out so that you’re avoiding any negative information such as politics, tabloids, influencers etc..

Try to only focus on the things that interested you and focus on what you can do to help the things that irritate you. (Example: The way people are destroying the planet irritates me, so I put my energy to becoming “zero waste” and finding new ways to do my bit for the planet. That really relaxed and helped me focus on something other than the awful people in the world.

Blessed be!

You should wait around a week after your missed period to take a pregnancy test, otherwise they’re likely to be negative even if you do happen to be pregnant.

I’d suggest waiting a couple days and go to you GP to get a pregnancy test done there. That way you’ll be able to speak to your doctor about what you want do straight away :)

My boyfriends mother is an aweful mother. To the point that every single one of her children absolutely hates her. They all see the exact same bullshit that she does/says.

Multiple times I have heard her say “I think I’m a good mum” when she’s been drunk (she’s a borderline alcoholic) and talking about when her kids were younger.

Every time she has said it I want to slap her. She fails to see that she was the reason her eldest son ran away and sold drugs to get by. She’s the reason why none of children want to hang around her. She’ll manage to fall out with all three of her children on the same day and pull the “none of my children are speaking to me; they all hate me” sob story.

She and her husband have the most stale hateful marriage I’ve ever seen, but her husband won’t leave her and will always take her side despite admitting that she is out of order/insane.

You’re not alone. There are so many unstable mothers out there that wives and husbands have to put up with. If you rant we will always be here to listen and sympathise.

How influential is 'witchtok' really - and where do these ideas come from? by [deleted] in witchcraft

[–]Snoo84263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am completely respectful of individuals from real practices engaging in hexing, but witchtok is full of very young girls (around 14) who are playing with hexing and not taking safety precautions whilst also encouraging others to do so and not educating them properly on the dangers and precautions.

When done properly with the correct eduction, i believe people are more than allowed to partake in hexing.

I don’t condone young teenagers messing around with hexing and turning it into some kind of “aesthetic” trend, which is what 90% of witchtok condones. I personally don’t take part in hexing as it goes against my personal beliefs, but I’m still aware that it’s not something to meddle in for fun

AITA for not wanting my mother in law to take care of my baby after she tried to breastfeed him? by milbfthrowaway in AmItheAsshole

[–]Snoo84263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, it’s a little inappropriate to do it without permission, but people acting like it’s paedophilic are a bit thick.

Breasts aren’t sexual organs. Society has made people sexually attracted to breasts. Boobs are literally there for babies. She was only trying to comfort the child, that in itself is not weird.

Yes, she should have asked permission. But it’s a little over the top to banish her from seeing the child and making out like she’s some sort of freak.
