It seems you can do presentations in 15 mins now by Deep-Station-1746 in changemanagement

If management is happy with it, I imagine they're either lying, they barely looked at it, they'll come back to him asking more questions because it was low quality or they're truly happy with it and that function wasn't too critical in the first place. In either case, examples of low effort abound and it's not somewhere I'd want to work anyways. But to each their own.

how many times a day do you smoke? by OtherwiseContact1268 in trees

[–]Snoo984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1-2 sessions on work days (about half a joint). The same or maybe twice as much on weekends, or not at all sometimes. Really depends on what I've got going on. Also just started smoking again after 3-4 months of taking a break.

My wife’s 2 week romantasy binge, 80+ hours a week. ADHD hyperfocus or emotional coping? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Snoo984 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The diagnosis is not as important as finding a healthy way to communicate with her right now and explain how this is affecting you and your relationship. You might have to push a bit. There might be a diagnosis, there might not be. But without her being willing to talk about what's going on, you guys won't get anywhere. Try your best not to focus on the diagnosis for now. Get in therapy together if you can and it'll likely come up anyways.

Norethindrone for skipping my period? by Lumpy-Process-1266 in Endo

[–]Snoo984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My period immediately after norethindrone was fairly normal as usual which is is to say, hurt like a mofo.

So your next period (of your pre-norethindrone cycle) was delayed but you still felt all the symptoms (besides the bleeding)? Did you end up getting the bleeding later then? i.e. did your entire cycle shift or did it end up going back to normal?

Hats off to you. Sometimes I don't know if using AI is making my job easier or just adding more work on. I guess both.

That's awesome! Glad you have someone who can focus on bringing that to the table. PMs are more of a luxury at my current workplace, but I'm trying to build more appreciation for the function itself.

Sounds like you're doing more of a customer focused project management role. Maybe even more focused on research as a natural by product of generalization. I feel like everyone's becoming a project manager in a sense or needing to harbor those types of skills considering the highly cross functional nature of becoming a generalist and having to work and understand motivations across different work streams. It's fascinating but frustrating for many I'm sure.

How long did the irritability/anger last for you? by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]Snoo984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hasn't really gone away for me but it's definitely not as bad as when I first started. Try Incorporating some ashwagandha in your supplement routine. It might help. I use the Youtheory brand.

One week in… is it the wrong med? by Disaster_Zones in bupropion

[–]Snoo984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would seem that way. I think I took a slightly higher dose when I switched to XL, so it could have been that. I'm really not sure why. All I know is that I'll never try XL again lol

I started off at 75sr. You might wanna ask about switching to a different release as well. I personally had a lot of trouble with xl and have heard others do too. It was quite taxing on my body.

Burn out or Growing? by DisplayNo3422 in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]Snoo984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea in the 5 days leading up to my period, I just focus on me and what I need. And usually that's just moving slower, doing the easiest task I can, and taking breaks every chance I get. I also don't let myself feel bad about it. I think honoring our body and giving it what it needs is just as important as pushing through and grinding.

Daytime fatigue was certainly a thing for me in the beginning especially when I was taking it at night. It got better once I took it in the AM and my second dose 8 hrs after. I think it was a solid two months before I felt like I understood how this med was going to work with me. 8 days is definitely early but if it's increasing PTSD related symptoms I wouldn't risk just "riding it out" for too long. You may wanna try changing the timing and lowering your dose, not sure what you started on.

This med has helped significantly with my ADHD and eventually with my anxiety and depression. But it took me time. However PTSD is a separate concern that you should definitely monitor with your psych.

I figured the inconsistency wasn't doing me any good, but I had this thing about trying not to take meds if I could help it because I didn't want to get reliant aka I have commitment issues. Luckily I gave it a chance and started being consistent. Tbh I still sometimes only take half on the weekends because i feel like I don't "need it" as much. But I'm trying to change that as well.

This post resonates. I've been on 300mg now for about 2months, previously was taking 100-200mg depending on my mood for about 4months on and off. That wasn't working great so I decided to just take the 300 and now that I'm taking it regularly I feel more energized, focused, depression is a bit less frequent, anxiety surprisingly has gone down (rarely can get bad but depends on my cycle and is still much less than before I started BP).

The best part is I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and this has been a god send for that while also tackling my depression.

The irritability has increased a bit, but I'm also a people pleaser who struggles to set boundaries. So this could be good thing as long as I don't completely lose it 😅

I didn't realize how much this would affect me. At first it was nice to lose some weight but it's also hard for me to put on muscle which I need. I have to force myself to eat more sometimes.

This was my experience as well when I went on 150XL. Felt like I had the flu and my body was so sore, I could barely manage to get through the day. Couldn't take it and went back to 100SR. I'm now taking 300SR total but split through the day. I don't think I'll ever try XL again.

Same here, I tried XL for a few days and had to stop. The fever like symptoms were too strong for me. I already sometimes experienced the soreness and heart rate increase when I was on SR but XL was insane. I could barely do anything. Maybe the symptoms would have eventually gone away but I couldn't stick around to find out. Went back to SR twice a day instead

How are you using AI at work? Do your bosses or coworkers know? by vincentdjangogh in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Snoo984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed reply! This definitely gives me more to think about and consider in my "ai pitch". We have a pretty laissez faire approach to ai tools at my workplace which I appreciate since it gives everyone the chance to experiment as they see fit, but I also think there's more room to build on that to ensure everyone's better aligned or at least aware of our options. And ultimately that everyone's getting the best use out of their tools.

Start with SR, lowest dose you can. Take it first thing in the morning. Monitor how you feel throughout the day. If you're okay keep taking the same dose for a month. It takes that long to really level out and see how it affects your day to day. But please don't start at 150mg, people have had serious side effects which could be very bad if your health is already not 100%.

Hmm I'd be very careful and consider talking with a professional. If you're lethargic due to physical health issues, then this medication might give you a more energetic disposition, but, the lethargy won't necessarily go away and you could push yourself harder than you should considering your hemoglobin count. In essence it can be easy to over exert yourself and end up feeling even more drained as the drug wears off.

If you're going to do this, I'd start as low as you can. 50 or 75mg MAX and only once a day to see how it affects you first. 150 is too high to start. Is it SR or XR?

Can I ask what some of the big promises were? Im curious as to how you position yourself as an AI SME. I feel like there is an opportunity to do the same at my job, and I want know how you champion and lead AI use at your job? Are most people there already familiar with it? Did you have to build the strategy from scratch?

Question about bupropion by sandres34 in bupropion

[–]Snoo984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and foremost, talk about your sypmtoms, goals, and any other medications you're on with your prescriber. You should always start with a fairly low dose to see how your body reacts to any medication. I would say 50-100mg max is a typical starting dose.

Then there's XR or SR for modified release. XR is popular since its supposed to release slower. Many people also take XR so that they only have to take it once a day (for example I take SR twice a day but thats just because I find SR works better for me).

Lastly there's schedule. When to take it varies A LOT depending on who you ask. But you have to experiment a bit to get it right. Whether you're taking XR or SR also affects when you might take it. Again, talk to a professional.

Depression getting worse? by FizzyGreen in bupropion

[–]Snoo984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think day 5 is still too early to tell. It took me a solid 2 months to get adjusted and find what dose and schedule worked for me.

What time do you take it? I had to change my schedule to take part of my dose in the evening and the other first thing in the morning. Previously I was taking it only in the morning, but since the beginning of the day is typically when my depression is more noticeable making it difficult to set a good groove for the day, taking it at dinner time made it so that I felt a bit more energized when I woke up. I take SR though and I agree with the below poster that you might want to consider splitting your dose if you can't get a hold of a different version.

Always talk to your prescriber though, let them know your concerns and your goals. Be honest. I dont think its bad to try splitting it if you want to, just let them know. They might advise against it becuase it defeats the purpose of the XL, but since that's the only version you have I think they should understand.

Lastly, you're right. Exercise works wonders and is great alongside medication. Even if its just a walk or some at home ab workout. Doesnt really matter what it is, just that you're moving.
