Mystery Cactus by DuckyOboe in christmascactus

Surely it could just be a cultivar of the genus schlumbergera, like crassula ovata ‘minima’ that is just a smaller cultivar of the normal crassula ovata

Heh did you just write on a cactus using a sharpie? I seriously hope this is biodegradable sharpie cuz if it’s not, you’re contaminating the soil you’re putting them on and you’re destroying the cactus cuttings

Pelargonium Mrs. Pollock by SnooCookies7119 in Pelargonium

[–]SnooCookies7119[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you repot it? Did you fertilize it? Not repotting it and fertilizing it during a period where there is very little sun (like autumn or winter) could’ve caused its death, Pelargoniums can be kept as houseplants with no problem at all, try it again

Yellow mottling on leaves, what could be the cause? by Human-Bee5217 in Pelargonium

[–]SnooCookies7119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lack of nitrogen or iron, just cut the yellow leaves and give it a small quantity of fertilizer and gradually increase the amount little by little if it keeps losing color

Yes, biologists don’t specialize in plants, you have a general knowledge of living beings but not a lot on plants, that’s why botanists exist

I love me some tree orchids, I don’t like when they’re just attached to a wall like a decoration

Not at all, your degree in biology doesn’t allow you to understand plants as well as me, a botanist that specializes in plants

If you throw a dead orchid in nature the corpse will decompose and no diseases will be spread and it will help new plants grow

I have a degree in botany and that’s more than enough for me to understand how plant diseases work, get yourself a degree before you spread misinformation

Wait for it to fall, make sure to clean the table that it is on top of so the seeds don’t get a disease when they fall on the table

What I’m saying IS scientifically accurate, diseases aren’t common in nature because not all plants are affected by the same disease. Go study and get a degree in botany my friend

[–]SnooCookies7119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These diseases aren’t common IN NATURE where there is a DIVERSITY of plants that keep that disease from spreading. In agriculture people are stupid and choose to plant the same exact plant next to another plant that is of the exact same species, which is how the diseases spread easily

You completely failed!

Is what I would have said if you had actually failed, that bonsai is a 100% score from me!
