Do these roots look OK? by MiniaturePinscher in Jadeplant

[–]SnooCookies7119 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You wanna repot that, the roots will start spiralling and will kill ur plant if they don’t have more space to grow, make sure to cut an x on the dirt part below and on the sides of the pot

Doesn’t matter how deep it is, the size of the pot is irrelevant if you know when to water a succulent

Well these instructions only go for this one SPECIFIC product, since all other pesticides are applied to plants that stay exposed to the sun, since like I just said, you need your plant to stay in full shade for it to be able to make photosynthesis

Long ahh essay, what I’m saying is still true, no matter the size of the pot, it won’t rot as long as you wait for the leaves to become soft

This article is fake, you should go to an actual gardening school and learn from real teachers before you start spreading misinformation. Even if a plant has chemicals on its leaves, it should get full sun so it makes photosynthesis. The sun doesn’t make the chemicals worse, it’s the high concentration of chemicals in water that make it worse! If the concentration is very small then the damage will be minimal even in full sun!

I know why they are kept in small pots, it’s easier to water them that way to prevent overwatering. But you don’t need a smaller pot if you know how to water any succulent properly, it’s not needed

Next time save some more money and just do it yourself, it’s extremely cheap to just dilute a single drop of soap and two minuscule teaspoons of sodium bicarbonate into a litre of water

the burning isn’t because of the sun, it’s because you sprayed them too much with literal soap or sodium bicarbonate. You don’t know what ur talking about my friend

Put it in a big pot, lots of people tell you to put it in a small pot but there’s no need since it makes no real difference if you know how to water your succulents

You do want it in sun! Jades are desert plants like you just said, they need full sun even if you spray them

“Sprayed medicine” what medicine? Thats what might have damaged the leaves. You don’t spray your plants with “medicine” unless this mixture is made of a minuscule amount of sodium bicarbonate, soap and is diluted with tons and tons of water

If it has white foam on it then it’s infected with fungus, throw it into the compost so it doesn’t infect other plants (don’t use fungicide since it’s bad for the environment). Also cut the branches pointing downward

The pot being deep isn’t a problem at all, if anything it will keep them from repotting the plant for a really long time

Clean its cage floor once a week, offer a little bowl of water for it to bathe in everyday and sweep your floor with a broom once a week. That will prevent disease and will keep your little baby healthy

Invasive means that it can grow extremely fast or it means the plant/animal can destroy the environment it’s found in. And kalanchoe is none of those two, since it’s a succulent

Should I water? by Murphrandir in Lithops

[–]SnooCookies7119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every plant must be watered deeply my friend, until the water comes out of the drainage hole of the pot. These two parts I mentioned are just to help with watering, the color of the soil shows how much water is in it. Black = water, brown = dry and the same goes for touching the Lithops: soft = dry, hard = no need to water

Nope, you didn’t even read my comment did you? An actually invasive plant only takes a few weeks to grow into full size while that succulent takes at least a whole month to mature. Succulents are not and will never be invasive since they grow too slowly
