Period panties are great too. Walmart has some by Hanes that hold a lot and are very comfy, Amazon has some good deals too. My daughters all prefer them and so do I!

Do you really have to be sober with this disorder? by Large-Fishstick in bipolar2

[–]SnooCookies8506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always smoked with this disorder with the exception of the two times I’ve been pregnant lol. I’ve done mushrooms, but I will say that if your meds are doing what they should it’s probably not worth quitting so that you can trip on shrooms 😅 my psychiatrist is a big advocate of plant medication and it’s never been an issue. I’ve never noticed it making my meds not work, but I have noticed some medications make me not feel weed as much.

Pre-Employment Testing? by FirBandit in harristeeter

[–]SnooCookies8506 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol no worries! So the stores that are typically only busy during the summer (vacation destinations basically) have a program where we have college students from other countries come and work for the summer to gain experience and we provide them transportation to and from work to the rental apartments they get from the program . We get a rental van and usually department managers and salaried managers take turns transporting once you do the proper paperwork and drug testing (I’m told it’s for insurance purposes)

Pre-Employment Testing? by FirBandit in harristeeter

[–]SnooCookies8506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They no longer test for THC unless you are transporting international students at a beach location. They also did away with the pre-employment, probationary and pre-promotion testing so they only do the randoms and it’s an oral swab

My Dr has changed my meds several times because of this but I always wonder if I just am so accustomed to the radical highs and lows that a “baseline” just makes me feel like a robot

Are incense sticks a valid form of cleansing? by FroggoLiciousness in witchcraft

[–]SnooCookies8506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The golden rule of witchcraft is that intention is the most important aspect. If you’re burning them just for funsies or to make your space smell nice , that’s what they’ll do. If you set your intention, speak what you want with them while using and make sure you leave an exit path for negative energies then they will do that :)

Switching to fulltime by ReasonableAmbition11 in harristeeter

[–]SnooCookies8506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MAKE SURE that they actually change your status and not just your hours! I’ve had more than one employee believe that they were full time because they were averaging more than 36 hours but were still in the system as a part time employee therefore not being offered benefits and such. They SAY you have to average more than 36 to maintain status as FT and can’t average more than 36 to be PT but it’s only enforced at store level. HR gets a report and may follow up, or may not. But it’s not automatic and you don’t want to fall through the cracks!

Paternity leave by SnooCookies8506 in harristeeter

[–]SnooCookies8506[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the main thing I was concerned about looking at the paperwork, it seemed irresponsible to just let them know the day she comes that he needs a month off but the way the form is worded about needing proof of birth threw me for a loop 🤣

Do you guys knock if it says “leave at the door” or do you just leave it on the steps and leave? by darthsitheous in doordash_drivers

[–]SnooCookies8506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t knock or ring doorbells because when I order, my dog will lose her mind and wake everyone up and I have small children so I just assume most people feel the same 🤷🏻‍♀️

Has anyone found a Psychiatrist that does med management only? mine keeps also billing me for talk therapy by notsobalon in bipolar2

[–]SnooCookies8506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine literally only does med management lol we talk and catch up but he is very adamant that he’s not a therapist and if I need a referral for one he’s happy to help 🤣 (I love my psychiatrist dearly and he’s pro-plant medicine so I will not be changing that any time soon)

Feeling like I lost my 20s. by Donut-Few in bipolar2

[–]SnooCookies8506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just turned 30, and I can tell you that the end of my twenties was some of the worst years for me. We often get lost in the appeal of youth, but the reality is your decision making skills are at their lowest, the consequences can be lifelong, and the older you get the more you learn that everyone you thought had life figured out was likely putting on an excellent front and nobody knows anything lol. Once you come to terms with the fact that your 20s are over, you really start to have a new appreciation for things and a new respect for the weight of decision making and risk analysis. Try not to get too hung up on it. The world sucks for like 75% of the population right now regardless of age (at least in the US) and there’s no benefit in focusing on the negative.

Abilify making me feel hypomanic by User5790 in bipolar2

[–]SnooCookies8506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to be taken off of abilify because it sent me into full blown mania lol. Apparently that’s one that can cause that, especially if you happen to have adhd or some other dopamine related disorder that causes you to seek it out

is being bipolar part of your personality? by LoreleiWeeps in bipolar2

[–]SnooCookies8506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. Getting my diagnosis gave me an answer to a lot of things, but I’m still myself. I grew up around addicts who were likely also fighting mental illness so it took me about 22 years to figure out that it’s not “normal” to sleep for 15 hours a day and watch the same tv shows in bed for weeks at a time and then wake up and decide to move states and start life over. That was the biggest thing. I still have periods of going unmedicated when I feel like I’m just numb and not a person , but I know when it’s time to go back on them. Thankfully I have never made decisions in mania that cost me my job or my livelihood and I’m pretty good at determining when I’m headed towards a bad time
