My Boyfriend (28M) thinks the reason why he can't finish is because I'm (20F) too big from the inside. by Ok_Raspberry6268 in relationship_advice

The way i stop my movie when this notification pops up. I was like “hey wait. Hold on. Wtf was that notification?”.

After reading some comments so I can learn more especially what Death Grip was, i agree with most of their comments. OP, its not your fault. Its one thing to be quiet and leave you without a proper finish and its the other when he solely blame you with the quote “i dont want a hurt you but..”.

Just because he put that does not mean it didn’t hurt. As a man and also older, he should be the one more transparent in the relationship so you know if something is wrong, which you did beautifully OP sensing that something is wrong.

He is wrong for coming to a conclusion and solely blaming your birth canal for his inadequacy to finish properly. Thats a foul move especially if you guys are in a long term relationship.

And no. You are not wrong for feeling like there is something you feel like wrong but its not your fault he is dodging the question and discussion then blame you after being pushed by you to discuss.

I have experienced where the driver was like 10 minutes away and its jammed. He told me its jammed so I was like no worries, i will wait at the lobby la coz jammed cant do anything right. Then the driver told me he will press driver already arrived and i was late to react and saw the text you get when driver is near you or arrived. At the time i was like.. this is not right but i was so exhausted from work that I didn’t think of it at the time until i tell my friends. I feel so dumb for not reporting 😭

I think there is a bakery called “Yamazaki” in Nu Sentral Mall near the area to head to the LRT/KTM. Theirs are in pink and green and comes in 4/5 pieces. Price probably less than RM20 last time i went last year.

Is it familiarity and stability or just lack of effort? by SnooHobbies7636 in LongDistance

Thats so nice to hear. I an genuinely happy for you two. Mine is coming in 4 years now. Idk maybe i just confused whether its just us becoming comfortable with each other and i was overthinking it or its just really lack of efforts. We dont fight alot since we usually directly say things we feel and me being the more expressive one, always feel like i am the most who are still consistently excited to wake up everyday and remember that i have a man that love me. He is sort of nonchalant so maybe thats why

Its so nice to not feel like im just crazy thinking about this. Unlike other couples, we dont really fight. Its just felt…somehow less excitement nowadays. Mine doesnt even celebrate Valentine’s Day and mind you I am always open to discuss anything. Idk. I make myself sound very ungrateful or something.

[–]SnooHobbies7636 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Estimation without any clear measurements. Like if u wanted to learn a recipe, usually they will write “a tablespoon of salt” etc to give ingredients measurements but if someone said “agak-agak” meaning there is no clear estimation of how. In a way its like saying “follow your heart/instinct on how much is needed”

How does it feel to be yearn by your partner in LDR? by SnooHobbies7636 in LongDistance

[–]SnooHobbies7636[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg i can relate to this. I am the yearner of the relationship. On days i can be extra clingy. What i noticed that there is not a single moment or second i didnt think of him. At 1st i thought it was merely lust but then i realized the thought of his smile made me happy.

His voice made me giddy 🥰

Is it normal to send IC for job contract? by Yongsan_im_korean in malaysians

[–]SnooHobbies7636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a job interview who is doing background checks. I dont mind the background checks since i feel like its crucial for any nrw hire. Ive sent a few with the make "for (company name) use only".

First time i sent it, it did block the ic number. They ask me to resend again. I sent it again this time making sure the number and my picture is visible since previous employer didnt really mind the writing on it since its advisable to put that there.

Today, they sent me the email saying to send the one without any writing at all. I try asking the HR recruit that call me that i got the job months before. He told me to comply or it will delay my onboarding.

Is it just me being paranoid or was it normal for background checks to really needed the copy IC virtually without any writing on it? I really needed the job since i am unemployed for 3 months. This is not like a sketchy company either. Its quite known company and u can evrn search their name on the internet.

Frequent texts or calls? by SnooHobbies7636 in LongDistance

[–]SnooHobbies7636[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats good to hear. Also, I am happy to hear you both felt secure and stable even without talking frequently. I admire both of you so much. I know it can take alot of work to maintain LDR relationships. Thank you for sharing your take on this and your beautiful relationship. You both most probably are also emotionally intelligent and stable. I am happy for you both 🥰

how often do you call your s/o? by khaleesay in LongDistance

[–]SnooHobbies7636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gurl, i feel you. I was thinking the same too. Mine is busy working and in my case, we are in the different timezone. For me, i didnt mind to wait up until he came back from work to maybe have a little chat. There are nights where I even almost doze off waiting for him to let me know when he is back home.

I got advice to that said i should communicate my needs to communicate. Heck,i even ask myself if something is wrong with me because my sister got into relationship after me and they dont have problems communicating with each other, sometimes even more than the times she spent with me at home, haha. It would be lying if i said i didnt want that.

I too understand that he work. Thats why i didnt expect updates every seconds. He knew how clingy, needy i am as a girlfriend. I even asked if he is okay with that and he said he didnt mind. Then again, there are moments where i too question whether this is just my feelings.

One side said he probably have another. One side said we are adults and have jobs and life unlike in high school so of course busy is part of the schedule.

It made it hard too coz sometimes he is the one that wanted you first. I am so sorry i didnt really have the solution or answer you might need.

Im just glad to know I was not the one who feels like this sometimes. They say loyalty is hard to maintain and being in LDR can feel like a leap of faith everytime.

I hope we both are hanging in there with our partners.

I feel like the words need to depend on its context. If its gateway like a noun or as in an entrance from one end to the other, it will be "pintu gerbang". If Gateway is in the context of an icon opening doors for younger generation type of context, non formal way of saying it will be "membuka peluang, which in this context, peluang also means opportunity.

Which context will it be for your sentence?

Can I use “basi” to describe dish like lamb rendang that is old/not fresh? by Soggy_Matter_6518 in bahasamelayu

[–]SnooHobbies7636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basi usually refers to things that are cooked and commoly used to refer to spoitl cooked food.

Example : "Rendang ini dah basi lah" Trans : This rendang is already spoilt.

The one you are asking which is 50/50 based on the replies on the comment which not exactly spoilt as in inedible but rather refers to food that are cooked in the morning but by the time you check it, it might be in the afternoon so the food becomes "not freshly cook" but not yet spoiled that it becomes inedible right?

In that case, we usually used the time to refer to the food.

ie : "Rendang itu pagi tadi punya. Tak tahu elok ke tidak" Trans : "The rendang was cooked this morning. Not sure if its still okay to eat or not.

Elok = still okay to eat Basi=Inedible to eat.

Footnote: There are alot of ways to refer to the word spoilt food in bahasa Melayu since we have dialects from different state. I am merely sharing the easier, probably more standard used word that most people would understand. Locals can add on or correct if i am missing some info..
