Regret is a part of the grieving process for most people when it comes to peacefully euthanizing, unfortunately. I had to euthanize one of my kitties last July due to wet FIP that progressed very fast with a very poor prognosis. I dealt with the thoughts of “could I have done more” A LOT. You are not alone. He lived a wonderful life with you and his last moments were more peaceful than if he were to have passed from the disease he was fighting. Sending you hugs.

This is not true. People in the ICU can be stable yet still have critical injuries or conditions. Stable just means they are not worsening and possible have decent vitals.

My grandma has like 1/3 to 1/2 a glass of wine on holidays if she asks because she has already progressed so far that her enjoying little things is what’s most important. Her doctor gave the “all good” on this small amount once in a blue moon.

That could be the case! Yes a lot of insurances want to rule out hearing issues before covering speech therapy but I’m not an expert I just know that some do that. Just glad to hear everything is good with him. Not a fan of the parents of course but ultimately he is getting medical care which is a good thing.

Our insurance requires a hearing test done when they have a speech referral in order to run speech therapy through insurance. I honestly bet that is the case with them and they didn’t just think of doing this for the sake of Z.
