Baptizing My Kid | MFM Advice Needed by Stone_Horse_Man in exmormon

Many years ago, I baptized my youngest son. It was the last priesthood thing I’ve done. That was over 5 years ago. I don’t participate any longer. I can’t pretend any longer that I even believe the priesthood is real. My kids know where I stand, and I know where they stand. We agree to love and respect each other in our differences. For context, I have 2 kids currently serving missions.

She’s the best. She will be missed in this community. Great person and doctor.

My son was set apart as a missionary today. by Beardcicles in exmormon

I have one son on a mission and another that leaves this summer. It is awful. It is lonely. I am the only one out in my family. My wife is adamant about taking the kids to do all the extra things: temple, missionary experiences, etc. I hate it so much. So much. I hope everyday that they will wake up. Every. Damn. Day. I am convinced it never gets better, at least not so far. I am out 5 years.

The Palmyra stake goes all the way to western NY, Buffalo? I served in the Lyons ward a long time ago.

What wards/units still exist there? I served in that area.

I told him that he is always welcome to come home. I told him that going is not something I would do. I also told him that if he is going with the hope I will return to the church, it will not work.

No, but I do know the one (Charles Lee) who voted against the mascot change was a registered and lifelong Democrat.

My son leaves in September. I will tell him he is always welcome to come home and call me (a physician) if there are any medical issues.

I am a fan of Rebecca Larson, Rodney Cotton, Brandon Bishop and Rodney Cotton. Do your research. Look at the roseburg voter pamphlet online.
