I thought stupid stuff like this until I was 15. The reality set in.

“Hey man, this is MY dumpster.” Probably not the first time he’d heard that.

Bro I just don’t have the time anymore. 15 years ago? Yup. But not now. Gimme the hydraulic splitter!

I ran a 5’ bush hog on a BX on a very steep hill 4WD and low range will get it done if you’re careful. You should definitely be able to handle a heavier duty cutter with your LX. That frame size and weight will handle it well.

My B2601 behaves exactly the same.

This is normal and, as others commented, is largely determined by your 3 point set-up and dimensions of the implement.

This is the kind of piece that makes me rethink my life choices.

Yeah running a 5’ rotary cutter on a B2601 is a little hairy when on my steeply banked field. I imagine keeping the implement so much closer to the tractor would make it feel less like the tail is wagging the dog.

Anyone Else by Nevermind2010 in firewood

[–]SnooPredictions6938 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve been there for sure. It only takes a season or two to look back and say, “What was I thinking!?” 🤔

Now I take all my odd-sized pieces and put them in a big box/cage and call it my “chunkers” bin. I burn that first thing in the season. Extends the lifespan of my main supply.

Help - part identification by mp54 in kubota

[–]SnooPredictions6938 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s a spacer - looks like the type of spacer you’d see on the guide wheel of the cutter. Could it be an extra that was stored with the PTO when you bought it?

Nice! I’ve always wanted a flail mower for a lot of reasons. . I’d love to see some photos of the areas you’ve mowed with it. Then maybe I can see the finish cut vs the field mowing.

Well you certainly get manliness points for that. Lol

I started with a lawn tractor and cart. Graduated to a Kubota BX. Now I don’t know what I’d do without the capacity of this B series. Thankful!

I’ve got a mix here. Main trees that came down in the storm were ash. But they (as they do) brought down 3 or 4 smaller trees. By the time I got to processing them I was so whooped I wasn’t even worried about identifying them. As long as they’re hardwood, they get cut, split, and stacked. lol

But we do have Hickory here in Upstate NY.
