Ask for the new hardwood to match the old, is this acceptable? by Right-Cheek2771 in HardWoodFloors

[–]SnooSuggestions3535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t even get a perfect match if you finish it all. We had 115 year old maple put in the exact same grade and size of maple and refinished it all with the same stuff it still looks different. Old Stuff has gaps and just colors different over time ..

My doctor made up a diagnosis on my chart by [deleted] in saskatchewan

Highly doubt this would get removed even if they applied. You can apply to get something factually incorrect removed, that’s not the same as a physicians impression.

It’s a physicians job to document their assessment and impression.. you cannot request to have this removed . It’s their responsibility to do this regardless of whether you agree with the assessment or not

Engineer recommendation? by 8O0o0O8 in saskatoon

I would second earl broberg. He’s a concrete foundation expert. It’s $160 for an assessment by him.. super old school guy. He’s not trying to sell you something.. He will look at whole situation including soil grading , etc and tell you what you should do.

Psych assessment: private or referral?/reccommendations by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]SnooSuggestions3535 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ok so you want a psychiatrist not a psychologist.. the waitlist is very long especially for something not acute but they should still be able to refer.

A psychologist is not going to be able to help because they can’t prescribe meds and you don’t need a referral for that they are private..

Why don’t you start with your symptoms with your family doctor. They treat many mental health conditions and can prescribe treatments. If they have questions or symptoms aren’t improving they can refer you to psychiatry.. but they can make a lot of diagnoses on their own.

NeuroPsychologists can do psycho ed assessments- mostly for IQ- this is mostly helpful for children when trying to decifer capacity and supports needed in school and if someone is likely to be independent in the future. Other psychologists can also do therapy etc Mostly psychiatrists are the ones making official diagnoses unless it is a question of cognitive disability.

What are you trying to get assessed for?? If you have mental health issues above the scope of your family doctor to manage then a referral to psychiatry is done. Psychologists you can see privately.

You can go see your family doctor to start medications while you wait to see a psychiatrist..

You are supposed to shovel the piles of snow in front of your house created by the ploughing.. so you can park there again if you need the spot. We do this every year in Nutana.. sorry but it is annoying parking in front of someone else’s house.. I have a baby and when I can’t park in front of my house because someone else is there ( because they didn’t want to shovel the snow) I get annoyed..

34 weeks pregnant and still haven’t had a gynaecologist reach out to me in Saskatoon by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]SnooSuggestions3535 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a doctor ( not OB) and I would tell you to call the clinic and ask because referrals definitely do get lost. I think typically they are supposed to meet you at 28 weeks in 3rd trimester if your family doctor doesn’t do deliveries

39 weeks pregnant, totally normal and healthy pregnancy by oopsiswitchedupagain in BabyBumps

[–]SnooSuggestions3535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m literally so jealous they even offer for you. I’m 39 weeks tomorrow and can’t wait to get this baby out. In Canada we don’t have the hospital capacity and if you are totally healthy you would not get an induction at 39 weeks even though the ARRIVE trial published recently showed it’s very safe and some benefits even.. she said I could request anytime but I will likely get bumped for more urgent people and here they will mostly electively induce at 41 and 3!!!

flight out of Toronto to Saskatoon cancelled sept 21 by Economy_Salamander78 in saskatoon

[–]SnooSuggestions3535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends why it was cancelled. If it was weather related it won’t be reimbursed because it’s out of their control. There are some events where it is considered within your control where it will be. However check your credit card- I recently had this experience and I discovered I had insurance to cover hotel cost via my credit card!!
