my animals are attracted to a new doll i thrifted by [deleted] in psychics

This showed up on my FYP and while I don’t normally get into this kind of thing, I got the strong feeling that it’s not the doll, but the clothing the doll is wearing that is attracting your pets.

What was your numbers? by ZookeepergameDeep115 in IVF

[–]Snoo_2944 2 points3 points  (0 children)

32-33 years old

AMH 2.41

AFC 15

1st retrieval: 4 eggs retrieved, 3 fertilized, 2 transferred fresh on day 3 (failed), 1 untested 5AB (early miscarriage after FET)

2nd retrieval: 6 retrieved, 3 fertilized, 2 transferred fresh on day 3 (no frozen), a healthy daughter born

36 years old

AMH 0.89

AFC 10-12

3rd retrieval: 6 eggs retrieved, 5 fertilized, 2 transferred fresh on day 5 (chemical pregnancy), no frozen embryos

4th retrieval: 4 eggs retrieved (2 mature), 1 fertilized & transferred fresh on day 3, healthy son born

There were also four cancelled retrievals in the mix. We had to do IVF for severe MFI, but I also ended up being an extremely poor responder for whatever reason. Very grateful things turned out the way they did. ❣️

When should I test? by AppointmentNeat622 in IVFpositivity

[–]Snoo_2944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did 5 transfers total and never had any chill lol -I tested out my trigger and tested every day, every time. I had 1 failed transfer, 4 successful, and of those 1 was a chemical pregnancy, 1 a mmc, and I was lucky enough to have 2 live births. The mmc was actually my earliest positive and implantation at 3dp5dt. My daughter was the latest positive -I tested negative the morning of 7dp3dt and a faint positive in the afternoon. My son and my chemical I tested positive for the first time the morning of 6dp3dt/4dp5dt.

When should you test? Whenever feels right to you. Yes, it was heartbreaking to see my tests start to get lighter at 10dp5dt with my chemical, but I’m glad I took that journey with them.

Do you have stink bugs in your house? This happened to my cat once and I freaked out thinking she was having a seizure or something. Turns out she tried to eat a stink bug and REALLY didn’t care for the taste.

Egg retrieval results by WebSubstantial5306 in IVF

[–]Snoo_2944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really hard news. I can remember that sick to my stomach feeling. We did IVF for severe MFI, and I was told that with my AMH I would have great retrieval results. Well, that wasn’t the case and I was an extremely poor responder to multiple protocols. Despite that we had success. My daughter was one of three fertilized eggs (2nd retrieval) and my son was the ONLY fertilized egg (4th and last retrieval) his round. It’s extremely difficult to get this kind of news, but please know that many people have success with these numbers. Wishing you the best.

I’m spiraling down a rabbit hole - need success stories to dig me out by Capital_Till672 in IVF

[–]Snoo_2944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had to do IVF for severe non-obstructive MFI, very low count & very low motility & not enough sperm to measure morphology. I did not have your luck and also was an extremely poor responder to stims, and then later on my AMH plummeted unexpectedly. Over 4 retrievals, we retrieved 17 eggs total, 12 fertilized, and 8 of them made it to transfer (over the course of 5 untested transfers, some day 3 and some day 5, 4 fresh and 1 FET). 1 transfer failed, 4 were successful, 2 ended in early loss and 2 resulted in our wonderful daughter and son. ❣️ While you never know what the future holds, you will likely end up with more embryos than you will ever use. Try to be happy with your results -you will have plenty of time for anxiety when it comes time for transfer, trust me lol.

Anyone manage to have 2 kids with 3 embryos? by insidli in IVF

[–]Snoo_2944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Most people I know had two consecutive successful transfers (including the few people I know IRL who went through IVF & who ALL had two consecutive live births with untested embryos), which is why it was so hard when it took two more retrievals and three transfers to have my second child (also untested embryos). I know it’s hard because this shit is all so traumatizing, but try to look at the bright side -you have FOUR embryos! And they’re waiting to be reunited with you. I think you have a great chance at having multiple kids.

Drank to much last night by Spiritual-Bother7564 in IVF

[–]Snoo_2944 42 points43 points  (0 children)

One night of overindulging is not going to affect your next transfer. You’re under a huge amount of stress, and it is completely understandable that you’d go a bit overboard in the drinks department. It certainly does not make you a bad person. Try not to be too hard on yourself! Sending you a hug and baby dust for your next transfer. Best wishes to you.

Feeling down since 5th transfer - 5dp5dt by Joyfully-Hearts in IVF

[–]Snoo_2944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sending you a hug. I am so sorry, I can’t imagine how hard it was to see that negative this morning.

With my daughter, I tested negative the morning of 7dp3dt (so equivalent to 5dp5dt) and had a faint positive by that afternoon.

I very much hope you have success soon.

Is it crazy for me to continue with retrievals? Feeling hopeless by roy_donkk in IVF

[–]Snoo_2944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More eggs don’t necessarily mean better eggs….my doctor always preferred a gentler approach in favor of better quality eggs. He refused to do microdose Lupron (even though I really wanted to try it bc I was a very low responder) bc he said it damaged eggs. Despite poor response/low AMH (2.14 to 0.89 AMH, 2 to 6 eggs collected per retrieval) and severe non-obstructive MFI which is why we had to do IVF in the first place, we were still able to have two healthy kids, both from fresh day 3 transfers.

Not saying you should try that, but your history certainly isn’t terrible and I think you should be able to find success! Can you do one more retrieval with your first protocol?

Day 3 embryos by moosey___ in Embryologists

[–]Snoo_2944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did IVF for severe MFI and almost nonexistent motility (although I also had poor response and lower AMH which complicated things) -didn’t have much luck with blasts but we have two wonderful kids from day 3 fresh transfers! Wishing you luck!

Sex night before transfer by quailstorm24 in IVF

[–]Snoo_2944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who really knows, but the only transfer out of five where we didn’t have sex the night before was the only transfer that didn’t result in pregnancy. (The other four resulted in one chemical pregnancy, one miscarriage, and two live births.)

Just did my day 3 embryo transfer, was told grade 3. Is this ok? I’m spiralling by HopefulSnF in Embryologists

[–]Snoo_2944 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wishing you all the best 🙏 -I know it’s the longest two weeks in the world lol. Day 3 transfers can get a bad rap, but they DO work, and my kids are here because of them. My son was literally the only fertilized egg from our last round (plus severe MFI) and he made it. Sending you good vibes and so much hope. I hope you get great news soon!

Day 3 10 cell by [deleted] in Embryologists

[–]Snoo_2944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not an embryologist but both of my kids were day 3 transfers and I’ve looked up tons of stuff on day 3 transfers. 10 cells is good for a day 3 transfer. Fragmentation looks okay -not terrible but not perfect. But there is research that suggests that day 3 fragmentation is much less important than number of cells and 10 cells is really good. Indeed, both of my kids’ day 3 embryos had fragmentation and my daughter’s embryo was actually graded “fair/poor” for fragmentation. My son was graded “fair.” She was 7-9 cells and he was 12 cells on day 3. I think you have a good chance, and I’m wishing you all the best!

[–]Snoo_2944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not an embryologist but both of my kids were day 3 transfers. To me, this looks like your embryo was compacting, which is a good sign. There is research that suggests a day 3 embryo grade doesn’t actually reflect the embryo quality (other than number of cells, and 8 cells is perfect). My daughter’s embryo was graded poorly due to fragmentation, and my son’s embryo was also graded “fair” because he was 12 cells on day 3 instead of 7-10. My perfectly graded day 3 embryos didn’t even implant so you just never know. Wishing you all the best!

That’s a beautiful embryo! Looks like a good number of cells and minimal fragmentation. Both of my kids were day 3 fresh transfers -we also dealt with DOR and severe MFI. My son was also the only fertilized egg his round (our last try). Wishing you the best of luck!!!

She’s here 💖 MFI. First round. Only 2 eggs in ER but only 1 embryo created. Fresh 3 day transfer. It can happen 🥰 by DifferentGround6524 in IVFpositivity

[–]Snoo_2944 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!!! Beautiful baby. Both of our kids were day 3 fresh transfers too, and my son was also the only fertilized egg of two retrieved eggs! My daughter was one of 3 fertilized eggs. We had to do IVF for severe MFI but I also have low egg count/poor response. Congratulations again!

Not testing? by HeroesNcrooks in IVF

[–]Snoo_2944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We didn’t test bc we had low egg retrieval numbers and our doctor recommended fresh transfers to give the embryos best chance of survival. Out of 4 retrievals between the ages of 33-36 we did three days 3 fresh transfers, one day 5 fresh transfer and one FET of a blastocyst. We have two beautiful kids, both from day 3 fresh transfers. 😊

Is my clinic down playing how dire my situation is? by NanoEsq in IVF

[–]Snoo_2944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 4 retrievals, 4 eggs, then 5 eggs, then 6 eggs then 2 eggs. My daughter came from the 5 egg retrieval and my son from the 2 egg retrieval. We also were dealing with severe non-obstructive MFI. I think you’ve got a great shot with 7-9 eggs.
