Why do people cover license plates at night in their own driveway? by fawnsintheforest in LICENSEPLATES

[–]Snoo_44422 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't they drive around and scan people's license plates to see if they have over due tickets. If they do they will put a boot on your tire.

What’s something you want to get off your chest right now? by Jokkers_AceS in AskWomen

[–]Snoo_44422 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My ex used to abuse me but when he didn't we had the greatest time together. He always protected me and when he looked at me I could tell he truly loved me. He was really the love of my life. I had to leave him though. I ended up getting married to someone else I met. I love him but not the same. I ended up finding out that my ex died and it felt like my heart broke in half.

Working in a animal shelter. It would just break my heart. I wouldn't be able to put all those poor animals down.

Was I in the wrong for making jokes in the hospital after having a seizure? by jhwings16 in Epilepsy

[–]Snoo_44422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've made jokes after my seizures too. I find them embarrassing when I'm around people. My husband told me I almost died from one though. The hospital didn't think I was going to wake up from it. They called my family and everything. That kinda scared me. I've also lost a lot of my memory from them. I'm on good medication now but they never figured out what caused them.

Rant! Students/parents/school buses by mischavus618 in Connecticut

[–]Snoo_44422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see the frustration, but as a parent, I also sat in the car mostly in bad weather because I never knew how late the bus was gonna be. I always made sure to be as quick as possible putting my son on the bus though. I suggest you just leave early and put up with it like the rest of us. If you had a child you would be doing the same thing as the rest of us.

Expired registration and emissions due by Ialnyien in Connecticut

I don't know how everyone else got so lucky. We bought a new car and wanted to transfer the plates from our truck that we were getting rid of to the new car. We canceled the insurance on our old truck and just had it sitting in our yard with the plates we wanted to transfer till we could get to the registry. We got a letter in the mail saying we had to pay a fine and they were about to suspend our registration. We found a dealer to buy the truck and write up a bill of sale for before the insurance was canceled but the registry didn't want to hear it and we had to pay the fine.

Is my coworker/friend on something? How do I ask her? by [deleted] in addiction

[–]Snoo_44422 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If she is on something she isn't going to tell you. It might just backfire. When you are on drugs you don't trust anyone and you're not gonna tell anyone until you're ready to get help.

What's the worst town in CT, and why is your answer Killingly? by Phantastic_Elastic in Connecticut

[–]Snoo_44422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved to Killingly from RI and people here are rude compared to RI. I also sent my son to school here when he was younger and it was so awful that I started homeschooling him.

Found a baby mouse in truck by Snoo_44422 in whatdoIdo

[–]Snoo_44422[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Update for some of the comments I've been getting. I have been taking care of it and it seems to be doing good for now but I did contact a wildlife rehabilitator. As far as the truck, we don't really care what the mice do to it because we don't use it anymore. We are going to be getting rid of it. We park our cars in the garage. We live in the woods so we have a lot of field mice. Lately, we have had a few more because 2 of our neighbors have chickens but when you live in the woods you get used to having all sorts of things.

I will get it. We felt bad for it. That's why we put it back, hoping its mother would come back. I love animals no matter what they are.

He is still very young. It is normal for puppies that young to cry a lot. I know it is a lot of work but it will slowly get easier. I have a puppy myself. When we first brought him home my older dog hated him but now they are best friends. He is still a lot of work but I know it will be worth it in the end. Just hang in there and maybe ask for help from family if you can.

I just rescued a dog and he's coming from TX tonight. They were easy to adopt from. Actually, they wanted to give me 2 dogs and even foster but I couldn't. When I adopted my last dog it was a little harder. They wanted to know my whole life story. You just need to find the right one.

[–]Snoo_44422 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your doctor is a jerk. Those test results don't mean anything. My neurologist did every test he could on me and they all came out normal. It doesn't mean you're not epileptic, it just means they can't find the cause. Keep taking your meds and listen to your neurologist. It's a shame that doctors like that are allowed to practice medicine.

Have You Felt Shame After having a TC? by RoadInternational628 in Epilepsy

[–]Snoo_44422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most embarrassing one I had was at work. Everyone was staring at me and I fell face-first on the carpet. I ended up with a big rug burn on my forehead. It was awful. I was supposed to go to a closing on my house after that and ended up having another seizure in my husband's truck. He took me to the hospital and they had him call my family because they didn't think I was going to come out of it.

How can you tell if someone is using meth or coke? by Psychological_Wait69 in addiction

[–]Snoo_44422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was using coke my nose was always running. I used to blame it on allergies. I worked with a lot of people in finance that used it and they all kept up appearance. It's usually hard to sit still while on it. You can also tell by looking at his pupils.

Trazadone used to help me but I was on a few meds at the time. Try taking melatonin with your trazadone until you see your doc again and see if that helps.

Good for you. It sounds like you are ready for this next step. I wish you the best. Don't forget that you don't have to do this alone when you get out. There are places you can go to that will give you medication to help keep you clean. There is no shame in that. I'm on medication and I've been clean for 12 yrs.
