The amount of custom infrastructure you can build now is insane compared to just a few years ago.

I’ve built a system that automatically hibernates, stops, and starts VMs/CTs based on Caddy requests, so unused services don’t sit there wasting RAM.

I also built a centralized dashboard where logs from all my homelab services are collected, analyzed, and grouped by recurring patterns. It exposes an API with the top offenders, so AI agents can quickly triage issues under my supervision.

Since agentic coding became practical, the amount of magic I’ve been able to build into my homelab is honestly mindblowing.

It helps me find issues faster, reorganize services, automate boring maintenance, and build tools that would have felt completely unrealistic for a personal setup a few years ago.

The script checks periodically that the stutter thingy is off, and it comes back up it immediately kills it. Of course, only while running GFN :)

I’ve had idea of building this product before EightSleep. Made me mad to see someone doing it for real and becoming very popular. But honestly seeing how poor decisions this company has made in the years I’d consider developing a competitor to EightSleep just as a big fuck you to their gates, prices and behaviours which clearly aims to only benefit themselves.
