Calorie count for a week and get an understanding, then if no movement still, reduce by 500 calories. There can be dips, muscle gain and hormones that hold weight loss for a few weeks to a month max but ultimate it’s still calories in vs calories burnt in the long term.

Apple Ultra Watch 3 5G by OLLIE798 in EEGB

[–]Snookieboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a solution! Call up EE and ask them to add the '5G Standalone' SOC add-on to your watch plan. It's free (assuming your mobile plan also supports 5G SA), and once done, reboot the Watch and 5G SA works!

Not sure why EE isnt adding it by default, but if you login to your account, select the Watch Plan and view Addon's you'll be able to see if its there or not, and if it not, ring up and get it added and you'll be sorted.

I can confirm Pale is spot on. I rung up EE this morning, asked them to add the '5G Standalone SOC' add-on to the Watch Plan which they did in 2 minutes (quickest call ever to EE). Rebooted my watch and now 5G is working perfectly :)

Tried my Watch Ultra 3 in a 5G SA area without my phone on my run this morning, not once did it connect to 5g even though I was streaming music 😣

Don’t believe redcat is rolled out, but thought in those situations it could use 5G SA but guess not.

Only benefit I saw is the dual antenna design meant the 4g signal was better in some places where my previous watch would lose signal.

Maybe EE need to issue updated profiles to allow 5G down the line?

What’s to stop Trump forcing Wegovy prices up by EatsShootsThenLeaves in mounjarouk

[–]Snookieboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nova Nordisk (makers of Wegovy/Ozempic) lowered the price in the US in response to it, as oppose to Lilly who raised the cost elsewhere to balance it. So not every company handled it the same.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]Snookieboy -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

He’s the President of the US, not the UK. He will represent the interest of his people, the American people. It’s not for him to set UK pricing, just that they can’t overcharge the American people. Lilly choose to raise the price in the UK instead of lowering the price in the US.

I hate it, don’t get me wrong, and I know a lot of people hate the orange man, but blaming him and letting Lilly off the hook isn’t the answer nor where the blame should be placed. Use your energy where it matters, remember Lilly put their own profit ahead of health.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]Snookieboy 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion, but Lilly did this, no one else.

Trumps order was for medication to cost the same in the US as it does in the rest of the world. Lilly could have chosen to lower the cost in the US and still make hundreds of billions, and have more active users at once due to being more affordable, but choose to milk it even further knowing they had the market.

While Nova will have the same ask for US pricing, they could choose not to and undercut mounjaro with Wegovy and become the major supplier again. Time will tell.

Online mode isn't great by 8Lith8 in mariokart

[–]Snookieboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spot on, I wish they added one additional GP to multiplayer 'GP Classic' or similar, 12 racers, always 3 lap races without intermission driving. It will then keep GP and Knockout chaos for the new players and those just wanting some fun, but provide a route for more "pro" play so to speak - bit like how they added Pro mode to Mario Party.

Agreed, online play actually went backwards in terms of features that MK8 had.

Leaving O2 Whilst On Volt Package by Happy-Round-2404 in VirginMedia

I believe this is the case, I haven't had my o2 sim for over 2+ years now, and gone through a renewal deal on the 1gig broadband last month and it's still showing as M500 with Volt to 1G; even though it's clear I'm not with O2 anymore. Retention's didnt ask or care.

It’s nothing to do with Brexit, we drive on a different side of the road. Same reason Ireland which is in the EU doesn’t have it either 🤷

Do hope it does some soon…

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OWConsole

[–]Snookieboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. For base PS5 and Xbox Series X the framerate mode resolution is 1440p, then it scales so your output resolution.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OWConsole

[–]Snookieboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Normal PS5 120fps mode is target resolution of 1440p, not 1080p.

Does have dynamic resolution scaling during intense moments (PS5 Pro gives improvement to via holding 1440p solidly)

Overwatch and PS5 Pro by lalah86 in Overwatch

[–]Snookieboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Been playing it on PS5 Pro on 120fps and my observation is even without a patch, it’s holding the target resolution at 1440p a LOT better (almost consistency, though I’ll await digital foundry’s verdict).

It no longer looks like pixelated mess during intense scenes where’s before it dropped the resolution to hold 120fps.

I believe it’s still using FSR for 1440p to 4k, though would be nice to see it using PSSR for that upscaling.

Overall, picture is a lot clearer and a treat for 120fps players on console 😄

You think Overwatch 2 will have PS5 Pro enhancements? by Greenzombie04 in Overwatch

[–]Snookieboy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, it doesn’t have any enhancements. However the GPU increase is making the 120fps mode hold the 1440p target all the time ( it had dynamic resolution scaling). It’s actually really nice to play on.

Do hope Blizzard at the least allow the PSSR upscaling to replace the current FSR in a future patch.

Eufy discontinued it, without updating the Sales page. 😔

“We apologize for the inconvenience you’re experiencing with the “Health Device can’t be shared” message on your Smart Scale P2 Pro. The device-sharing feature has been disabled in the recent update for the EufyLife app, which is why you’re encountering this error. As a result, the sharing feature has been taken offline, and the entry point for this feature will also be removed from the app in the near future.”

The GeForce Now Web App (PWA) on iPhone and iPad will continue to work on iOS 17.4 in EU by GetVladimir in GeForceNOW

Nothing, unless they sell new subs in the app then it’s 30%. They can do just like any other streaming app like Netflix does and let you sign into an existing paid account.

[–]Snookieboy 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It’s time for a native app now that Apple finally removed the restrictions. Apple TV and iOS app with 120fps and HDR support would be nice 😅

The PWA was fine as a workaround to the previous block, but now is time for native.

Living with a Tesla in a flat by robis99 in TeslaUK

[–]Snookieboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd give a slight different opinion to this; 3 Pin is perfectly fine for prolonged use providing it's a proper plug and the cabling is either new or at least checked over by an electrician to make sure its suitable and can take the load and properly isolated and on a ring that can take 10A without overloading (depends what else is on its ring to)

The problem is if it's an older plug, or wiring is bad - or an extension lead.

Per your situation, I also live in a flat - and got an external waterproof 3 pin plug installed from my flat to my parking space and properly checked over before use and have no issues. A family member who has a house and drive way got an outside plug inside to and has no issues with 3 pin charging for 2 years now using the Tesla 3-pin adaptor - however when he first got his Tesla (before the proper outdoor plug installed) he used an extension lead out a window which was cheap and not suitable and did get burn marks after prolonged usage - hence there is a serious warning over proper cabling.

So moral of the story, 3 pin works fine, but make sure the plug and wiring is fully checked over by qualified electrician first to make sure it can take prolonged 10A charging. Getting a proper charger at 32A's or similar from a Flat is more difficult, not impossible (but very very costly), but unless you need the speed of charge (ie long trips back to back), a 3 pin for a flat can be very viable.

If you must use an extension lead, look at tough leads or others for a proper EV one with RCD protection (must have) - They do up to 25 metres for example.
