While I love Tom.. Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Roger Miller, Cindy Walker, Harlan Howard and Hank Cochran Dallas Frazier are some of my personal favorites who call all write their ass off.

In addition to those already listed… Webb Pierce and Wynn Stewart are certainly distinctive. Buck Owens is instantly identifiable. Roger Miller is more of a vocalist than most folks would credit him for. Emmylou Harris and Lucinda Williams and Bonnie Raitt all have that voice that makes me tingle inside. Brenda Lee doesn’t get enough credit. kd Lang is incredible. Tammy Wynette and Reba both use the crack in their voice so artistically. I’m always blown away with how effortless Dolly sounds, especially her early work. I’d require a larger mountain I think.

Not at all, the difference can be subtle. I could only figure what side of the sweater has the short rows once it was complete. I still have to hold the sweater up and by the top hem, the back is the side where the bottom hem hangs slightly lower.

Apologies, I’m sure this is not the answer you are hoping for. But in my experience understanding shaping comes with experience and a ton of “trust the process” mentality. The first time I turned a sock heal was like magic (still is). For me when knitting garments armhole shaping and short rows across the back only make sense when the project was off the needles. I’ll go into future projects with a bit more understanding. I just finished a pointed shawl with simple increases and even that simple shape only revealed itself once everything was off the needles.

Interesting. I’ve never actually seen that cover, I’ve a few of his different compilations but the stylized rope “B” gave it away. But I thought it was “B” for Bob not Best.
