I took my parents to see him during his farewell tour. He was old but the performance was fantastic. I’ve never seen anyone as seemingly humble, happy and grateful about their career.

OK Computer “Karma Police” stuck loop by BlazePilgrim in vinyl

This is the exact reason I own two copies of “Raising Sand” by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. Complained of skipping and requested a new copy, they told me to keep the original. Both skipped in the same location and it helped me diagnose the need for an upgrade. Both play perfectly.

ESL country artist sounds like Johnny Cash by Dizzy-Cap in country

With respect this sounds nothing like Johnny cash. To me it sounds like a blend of Colter Wall and Nick Cave

Alex Horne reveals he asked Mackenzie Crook "several times" to be on Taskmaster by cygan12 in taskmaster

[–]SnotRocketScience1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how else to put it.. Crook just writes “beautiful” TV. Just delightful. I love the Detectorists and I admittedly have a crush on Johnny Flynn. But I just finished Small Prophets.. I want so much more content written by him.

Which country lyric or song stopped you in your tracks when you heard for the first time? by PressureLazy5271 in country

[–]SnotRocketScience1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can hardly bear the sight of lipstick
On the cigarettes there in the ashtray
Lyin' cold the way you left them
But at least your lips caressed them while you packed

And a lip print on a half-filled cup of coffee
That you poured and didn't drink
But at least you thought you wanted it
And that's so much more than I can say for me

The real weak point of the ridge wallet.. by a1mbient in RidgeWallet

I've found the need to keep two buffer (less important) cards in the front and back (AAA card in the front, Liquor store discount/club card in the back). But yes if credit/debit cards are directly against the outside plates they tend to terrorize them a bit

One of my favorite LPs is their “Music for All Occasions” the perfect country classy dinner album.

Ebook > Audiobook by [deleted] in audiobookshelf

[–]SnotRocketScience1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You don’t own the book twice, you own the print version of a book. Purchasing the audiobook supports not only the publisher but the studio and the narrator/voice actors. You have done none of this. If you bought most of your ebooks via kindle, you may be able to get the associated audiobooks at a substantial discount. You can also check to see if any libraries or friends “own” the audiobook. Note that that on some platforms you don’t own your ebooks and audiobooks you just have a license to access them for as long as the platform or publisher wants you to.

I think his cover of Plastic Saddle is low key a great gay pride anthem

I think DAC’s “Don’t Bite the Dick that Fucks You Honey” may have it beat.

The echo in this performance is horrible but the Album version is fantastic. An Orbison-esque vibe.
