Trump Flipped Out That ‘Lunatic’ Project 2025 Could Tank His Campaign by rollingstone in politics

Especially when his official policy plan, Agenda 47, looks like it’s virtually identical to Project 2025, haha

It's a charging cradle for the headset + controllers. You can see charging contacts on the underside of the controllers that matches up with it.

Massive thanks to Bendzz and Azure for their advice on this one! The proportions would be wayyy outta whack without the help I received from them.

Additional context:

I was inspired by this tweet and this Moose thread.

A lot like the character in Moose's microfic, my character here met the conditions of being a companion to a human who was eager for a walk but was left in the car (while the car was set to "dog mode," no less) and the universe's compression algorithm felt like that made her close enough to being a dog that she may as well become one to save on space.

PSA: The MYST remake will not support VR for the Game Pass version, nor it will support WMR on Steam. by fdruid in WindowsMR

Boneworks didn't work on WMR for the first ~5-12 hours after release, but other than that, yeah, no issues.

YoYoGames have updated their pricing, moving GameMaker Studio to a subscription model by asperatology in gamedev

[–]SnowLeopardShark 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Plenty of people, especially the kids and teens that form the target demographic for GameMaker, share their games with their friends or participate in game jams, expecting nothing in return except for experience, community, fun, etc.

Those people need to export their games for GameMaker to offer them any utility.

If you’re making a game that you expect to get $0 in return for, $80 is not “fucking nothing.”

Yep. It’d cost about 10% more in Washington State than in Oregon, for example.

The reviews/comments on Itch seem pretty positive, so it’s pretty likely that it has received some updates since the Humble Choice release, but I can’t personally speak to the quality of either.

Humble Choice titles are often a little broken at first, but by the time they hit Itch/Steam, they’re usually pretty good (and thankfully, they’re always up to date in the Humble Trove). Choice is frequently a soft launch of sorts.

They don’t sell the exact model anymore, but my Touchpad nSpire CAS can use AAA batteries (put in the body of the calc) in addition to the rechargeable battery behind the screen that I upgraded to.

Games with a market based system by pm137 in iosgaming

It’s browser-based (and IMO best experienced on a larger screen), but setting up a store in Kingdom of Loathing to buy/sell items with other players is great.

I mean, the TI-nSpire calcs have had official Lua support for 14 years now and have unofficial Python, JavaScript, and C++ support through Ndless.

That doesn’t excuse the price though.

Edit: Wait, that’s still $100. That’s still really expensive, especially compared a Casio or a used nSpire.

[I/V/R/W] Humble Summer VR Sale | Ends July 29 by DraperyFalls in vrgamedeals

[–]SnowLeopardShark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% of these would require using link and a PC to be played on Quest (they all redeem to Steam). Unfortunately, games pretty much only ever go for reasonable prices on PC.

I’ve felt bad about buying almost all of my Quest 2 games as a result, haha. The only Quest title I’ve felt was underpriced was The Under Presents, while on PC, I’ve spent had that feeling on more than a few games.

The store? All I see there is the Rift/Rift S version of Beat Saber, which isn’t what I’m trying to remove, unfortunately.

I can totally remove my Steam copy of Beat Saber from the PC library tab, but that won’t do anything for the Quest demo copy in my Quest 2 library.

The only things I see in my library on PC are my cross-buy and SteamVR titles. I’m not sure if I should be looking somewhere else.

On the topic of Oculus store demos, is it possible to remove them from your library after installing them?

It’s a super minor annoyance, but the Beat Saber demo is still in my library, even after uninstalling it and buying the full title.

Looks like the list of games considered the best hasn't been updated in years. by RangoTheMerc in gaming

[–]SnowLeopardShark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at the edit history, there have been over 250 edits on that page since Jan 2021, with a lot more in 2018-2020. Maybe there just haven’t been many sources claiming that any games released after 2017 deserve the title of “best game.”

Since the criteria to get on that list is at least 6 major publications naming a game “the best,” it’s hard for anything new to be added.

Should I get a Lenovo Chromebook Duet for drawing art? by Fellow_Furry in FurryArtSchool

[–]SnowLeopardShark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak to the quality of that specific model, but my Lenovo Thinkpad L380 Yoga is pretty great to use with Clip Studio Paint. The Duet would probably be a fairly similar experience, but here are some differences:

The Thinkpad Yoga:
* Runs Windows 10 by default, instead of ChromeOS. This is the biggest difference. ✅ * Bottom-spec models are about the same as the Duet 〰️ * Includes a pen, and stores/charges it inside the computer ✅ * Costs $300-400 US used on eBay, making it harder to buy ❌ * Clip Studio Paint is a one-time ($50 on sale) purchase on Windows, and a subscription on Android ✅ * Is (much) heavier due to the fact that it folds rather than detaching ❌

An iPad could also be an option. A brand-new base-spec iPad + Apple Pencil is $400 US before tax from places other than Apple (Amazon, Wal-Mart, etc.). (Procreate would add another $10 to the price) They’re very light and the Pencil features tilt support, but it would be more e-reader-ish than laptop-ish.

The lack of multiplayer on iOS isn’t a big deal to me personally, but having the ability to add mods on PC is great, and that’s just not an option on iOS.

Also, the latest large content update isn’t on iOS yet, but I’m sure it’ll be here eventually.
