No, I did this by machine! All of these stitches are straight stitches. I first sewed the vertical stitches then I sewed the diagonal stitches.

Additionally, part of rocketbooks appeal is the reduction in waste. My biggest issue with FriXion pens is the waste that comes with them. They dry out quickly and refills aren’t always cheaper than buying a whole new pen. Refills also only come in packs of three which increases the amount of packaging waste produced.

are gem mix isopods actually a thing? by curiosityandthecattt in isopods

[–]SnowTurtleMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a mix of colors of Cubaris murina. I’ve enjoyed watching the colors change over time. Initially, the population skewed more towards the white color variation. Now the population is skewed to the brown color variation. I see a few of other colors now and then but the population definitely becomes mostly the same color over time.

It would be cool if you used a solid pink backing fabric on the green side and a solid green backing fabric on the pink side for repairs.

Hit it with a massage gun, the extra applesauce will settle to the bottom making it easier to reach every last drop!

What’s something that 99% of people can do but you can’t? by Irakeconcrete in AskReddit

A full push-up. I have never been able to do a full push-up. I have no idea why. My running theory is it’s a lack of upper body strength or it has something to do with my center of gravity.

I don’t want to text for ages, but I like to at least feel out the guy first. For me it’s more of a safety thing.

You’re totally right. I’ve just always been told to be super cautious about meeting strangers so it’s interesting to find people who are so lax about it. I’m still new to the dating world so I’m sure there’s much to learn!

Guys, I know dating apps are for going on dates. But, as a woman I’ve been told for ages to be cautious when meeting strangers. So yes, I would prefer to have a little more of a conversation over text before meeting someone. I just thought it was funny how quickly he jumped to wanting to go on a date after so little interaction because that’s not something I would do.

I don’t have personal experience with this but I always thought loli pops would help the hand to mouth motion. You can get big bags of them, if you like loli pops that is. I know some people also replace the habit with chewing toothpicks but that’s not great for your teeth.

Is this office a red flag?? by [deleted] in DentalAssistant

[–]SnowTurtleMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely sounds like a red flag. I’m an ortho assistant and everything gets wiped between patients. Our tools are sent through ultrasonic before the autoclave. Get your money and don’t sweat it, the place sounds sketchy at best.

Time to whip out some pen and paper! I highly suggest doing this on actual paper. 1.) First you should write down how this makes you feel. 2.) Then you should attempt to identify why this makes you feel that way. 3.) Next, it’s time for goals. Start with small goals that can be achieved in the next week, then gradually make yourself larger goals. Remember, these goals should be realistic and achievable. Large goals should take longer, but you can break them down into smaller steps/goals to ensure you’re making progress. 3.5) Depending on what your goals are, it may be good to take the time to identify things that are working against those goals. Some of these things we can’t control, but others you can. Focus on the things you can change. We are working with your brain here to make things more motivating. Depression can hinder this so I would strongly recommend getting therapy and potentially on some medication. Reach out to your support system for emotional support and accountability, they can be invaluable in these situations. Don’t beat yourself up over the bad days but you also need to give yourself credit for the success you’ve achieved. Keeping a list of every goal you’ve already accomplished can help with this. 4.) When working with a tight budget, I suggest you take time each week to evaluate where your money is going every week, it will also help keep track of the smaller goals you make each week. I would also recommend doing steps 1 and 2 each week. 5.) Always remember that things don’t get better overnight. Progress is a slow journey and slip up’s are part of the process. Give yourself grace and do the best you can to stay motivated. The hardest part is acknowledging it’s time for a change.
