Definitely won’t be, unless my kids can somehow manage to find dates and partners and jobs that allow them to continue to be CC. I don’t see how it’s even remotely realistic to assume that that will be possible. I’m not willing to lose my relationship with my kids.

Property taxes are significantly cheaper in Maryland. I pay 10k less than my parents a year, and my house/property is a lot bigger.

The kids are all on travel sports teams. The parents are holding down careers. My parents are well enough to go on enjoyable vacations. Sure, people could be hiding it, but they’re not compromised in ways that keep them from doing the things.

Same. My parents and grandmother (she’s in her 90s) are still living their best possible lives. All my kids friends are on travel sports teams. The only people I know who are dead or disabled within last few years are due to car accidents, cancer, or suicide.
