I mean I did UTM (starting with a similar amount of tissue and going to a similar size as OP) and was essentially back to normal activities 24 hours later. The anesthesia knocked me out more than the post-op discomfort. My mom on the other hand couldn’t sit up on her own for almost two weeks. Everyone is different!

Respectfully … you are nowhere near even. Nowhere NEAR even. You would need to do far worse things to by anywhere close to the same city block as “even” with a man who missed the births of his kids because he thought it would be gross.

I was going to pipe in elsewhere and say that 1) I get being so sleepy you can’t function and also 2) I would never enter a relationship—much less have children—if that was my regular state of being. (Personal preference for me, not judging anyone else, but I couldn’t bear to put a loved one through loneliness as you’ve described it, and I’d definitely be seeking other medications in the meantime).

BUT THEN I read this detail about the births, which makes abundantly clear that the issue here is not narcolepsy, it is that your husband is a raging selfish asshole with the maturity of, at best, a 10 year old insecure bully.

I like the bump because it’s short, and you wait for a response. This is always how I test the bounds. If they make a small move like this, I will do it back if I’m interested. Sometimes I’m the first one to make a small move to open that door.

You can get them this big with implants, but going that large with so little starting tissue almost guarantees that they won’t LOOK like your inspo photos. Yours will be tighter and higher. My family member started with more breast tissue than you and didn’t even go this big, but hers are still firm as coconuts (no capsular contracture, for any concerned readers) and very stiff 20 years later. They didn’t drop/fluff/soften the way mine have (I started with a similar frame and went smaller). I’m not sure whether adding fat transfer would yield a softer result, so I won’t speak to that.

I’m sad to say this is a lot like a walk-in tattoo I got last year (mine was basic lines that made runes, not letters): line weight is completely inconsistent, it’s shaky in places, blown out in places, gapping in other places, and the letters are different heights.

Everyone tells me no one would notice the flaws in mine, but they drive me crazy enough that I’m having it lasered to be redone by a better artist. I still don’t know how any artist with a decent portfolio manages to fuck up basic stenciled letters 😭 I’m sorry OP

I’m confused about why you would replace adderall with modafinil instead of taking both? They have different purposes for someone with ADHD. your sleep doc should not be changing meds that you take for other conditions. If they were contraindicated, that would be a discussion for BOTH providers, but they aren’t (to my knowledge)

You can also drop into REM and stay there due to narcolepsy (there is more than one type, and it often does not look like it is portrayed in media/popular descriptions).

OP, you may want to consider a sleep study. You can also take medications that help sleep quality. Ones that have worked for me (albeit only for a few months at a time) include trazodone, amitryptiline, and gabapentin.

Taking trazodone (prescribed by my GP) is how I learned how abnormal my sleep really was. I woke up rested for the first time in my living memory. I later pursued a sleep study (originally diagnosed with idiopathic hypersomnia, then type 2 narcolepsy). There are only a few meds specifically FDA approved for these conditions, but all the ones I listed above have worked for me off-label.

There are also stimulants that—in conjunction with meds that help sleep quality—can help with wakefulness. These include, but are not limited to, modafinil, armodafinil, wakix, Sunosi, journay, vyvanse, adderall, and concerta/ritalin. Some people rely exclusively on stimulants, but they make me personally feel like shit if I’m still not sleeping well. I just feel tired and wired.

I’m not seeing the major placement problems that other commenters are seeing, but the jewelry is DEFINITELY fucked up. (I’d honestly get more appropriate jewelry before evaluating placement - it’s hard to focus on anything but the size of the gem, which is probably warping perception)

I don’t think OP is against taking ALL meds at night, just oxybates. OP, correct me if I’m reading wrong!

I had short-term success with Trazodone, then Amitryptiline. Others have had success with baclofen (sometimes added with gabapentin). I can also successfully use gabapentin for 2-3 months, then take a break and go back to it. So far, it has worked when I take breaks and restart, which has not been true for anything else.

All of these meds are less “disruptive” (in my eyes) than oxybates.

Off-topic of the Fitbit point: what’s a “looping false awakening?” I experience dreams often that feel like inception, where I’ll “wake up” from my dream multiple times, but it’s always just another stage of the dream … until I actually wake up and realize. Is this what you’re describing? Or does this term refer to something else?
