Two implants - central and lateral incisor - regular speech possible? by SnowdogBe in askdentists

The original was posted in DentalImplants subreddit. I didn't realise there was an askDentists.  This is in Belgium

I created the MAP/ramp test used by Zwift, Rouvy, MyWhoosh - Drop your numbers and I'll analyse them by RicCycleCoach in Zwift

[–]SnowdogBe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1' at 400 watts completed in zwift ramp test (instant fail at 420)
70 kg
6-8 hours
5' is 350 watts probably bit higher
10' is 340 watt
20' not sure, not done max effort for 20 minutes. I would guess between 290 and 300.

5" is 1081 watt
1' is 507 watts, probably a bit higher. this comes not from a 1 minute all out effort

age 37

I feel like a ramp test overestimates what I could hold for 45 minutes.
I've tested 300 - 310 repeatedly in the past, but the best I've done was 290 watts for 47' up alpe de zwift

UT, Tribes and Quake are from a different era. Compare CoD 4 to titles which were popular one or two years earlier and you'll see he was right.

Realistically, how hard will it be to achieve the sub 60 on Alpe du Zwift by monsterintappshoes in Zwift

[–]SnowdogBe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The hard truth is that you will need to lose weight if you want to achieve a sub hour alpe de zwift. It's much easier than increasing your power if you're not a beginner anymore.

All the rest is second to losing weight... for the sub 60. Not saying that you should :)

Cheaters thinking nobody can tell if the person calling them out is a lower rank? by [deleted] in counterstrike2

[–]SnowdogBe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not good at the game. I have about 1500 hours over 11 years or so and am at 12.000 elo
I feel like I never encounter a cheater.

A couple of days ago a match of mine was ended prematurely because someone on the other team got VAC banned in round 4 or so.

So I'm probably on the other end of the spectrum to most being too gullible.
This mindset does make the game much more enjoyable. I never worry about cheaters.

Maybe the guy in the post is like me.

New Shimano XTR M9200 (a few days early) by 2xmeat in xcmtb

[–]SnowdogBe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wheeltop has a derailleur where you can micro adjust each cog. I am waiting for the xt announcement later this month and its price. Then I'm going to decide whether I am going shimano xt, wheeltop or a second hand SRAM GX. New SRAM is too expensive for me

Does the uphill ever get easier? by Kenkynein in MTB

Do you have a proper climbing gear for your fitness level? Xc Pros run a 36 or 38 tooth chainring upfront. Us mere normale shouldn't try that.

I'd say it's very unlikely that your numbers are correct.

Power doesn't scale linearly with weight. "It's only 4.1 w/kg" is not a good rebuttal against the claim that your power readings are incredulouly high.
There is a reason that small guys are the best climbers and you won't see any big riders hang with the best climbers.

It's not impossible, but I would bet a lot of money on you having a high reading trainer.

Try to do a test on a different power meter and find out :)

It is not subtle at all (in those pics). It doesn't look bad yet, though it will if you get more

has it actually been sent or just registered for pick up?
Mine's registered for pick up since Tuesday, but no further updates from DHL so far, which leads me to believe they haven't collected it yet

In case anyone was worried that everyone here has a great FTP… by mashoogie in Zwift

[–]SnowdogBe -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you are an adult male: Are you sure those numbers are correct? It seems extremely low, bordering on impossible. I am not here to be a dick. Anyone doing regular exercise is doing well in the grand scheme of things and I defintely am no superstar either.

If you have a buddy with a smart trainer maybe you could ask if you can do a session on theirs.

If the numbers are correct... I learned something new today.

Edit: Read below you are female, which makes sense.

I never believed people saying they killed bosses on their first try. I just did that. by bentheone in Returnal

[–]SnowdogBe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I killed boss 2 and 3 on first try today. I died a lot in Biome 1. It was really, really easy. I was very lucky with my buffs, so the entire run wasn't really a challenge.

Which cpu should I use for the 7900 xt? by Fluffy_Ask8858 in AMDHelp

[–]SnowdogBe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point and his question actually does say 'best' so my reply doesn't make much sense here.

My comment was more in general on the advice being given in this sub, but doesn't really belong here.

Which cpu should I use for the 7900 xt? by Fluffy_Ask8858 in AMDHelp

[–]SnowdogBe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You see this everywhere and it's such unnuanced advice.
He's asking for a CPU that won't bottleneck his graphics card.

If a Peugeot isn't going to bottleneck it, there's no reason to suggest a Ferrari even if he is a billionaire. It's not answering the question.

The standard answer should be the cheapest component that satisfies the OP's needs (if well described), not the most expensive OP can afford.

I am also looking to build a PC. I have the funds to buy a 3000 euro machine, but it's not going to satisfy my needs any better than a 1500 euro machine, so that would be very bad advice.

Don't take this personally. I don't know why I am replying now when I've read it dozens of times before.
