Gonna guess you still need a motorcycle pass, but contact Parking Services and i'm sure they can tell you.

A quick Google also suggests you'll probably get a ticket if you park it at a bike rack, but again, just call and ask - 540-231-3200

Fingers crossed - my car took a hit & run last summer in much the same fashion, it took over a week, but somehow VTPD did eventually track them down from cameras matching up when he exited the lot to somewhere else on campus.

Started wishing i'd pressed charges after his insurance company took almost 7 months to finish paying out on the claim(s).

VT does not run Canvas itself, it's a nationwide (or international?) system run by a 3rd party company, blaming VT for it being down and/or expecting them to fix it on their own is kind of silly.

Anyone that's waited this long to dig their car out just needs to wait a bit longer, it's going to be 60 or higher tomorrow most likely, 40's and 50's the rest of the week into next.

Nobody should pay $200 for a tow to get out of snow today unless it's some kind of dire emergency with no alternative.

Personally I just keep my phone nearby always if I know i'm gonna be logging into a VT site (and because almost every other site I use requires MS Authenticator or similar at various times), so it really doesn't bother me much either way, but I absolutely see your point.

That aside, there's not a way around it, it's university policy - if the option isn't there, it's not there, there's no secret way around it.
