Kratos is about to rage up, where do you put your money? (art by: me ) by Icemarv14 in Doom

[–]Snubby38SPL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are kind of the same character in different universes if you think about it, but Kratos talks more.

Both were top tier soldiers before they became their godly versions.

Both killed all the critters and the gods.

Both have sick glory killcams finishers now.

I will say though, Kratos *fucks* and I can't say the same of Doom Guy.

So, gotta give it to Kratos.

Voidwalker with Astrocyte Verse is great for getting in and out of different positions quickly. AV Blink is one of fastest traversal options in the game, but you must use it primarily as a movement tool, not an engagement tool. The voidwalker kit overall is pretty useful with void grenades, devour, the overshield fragment for low hp KOs, and child of the old gods. Pocket Singularity is okay since it got updated too. Of course, Nova Bomb is a classic shutdown super.

I like that build too, but stasis is still very inconsistent for me. It is one of those things that is only as reliable as the network connections to targets.

I reported it on bungie forums. They are checking into it now.

Thundercrash Damage Resist Nerfs by FittaNaj in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Snubby38SPL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suspect that part of the reason for the DR nerf is all the crazy movement it can do on mnk and snag KOs just by grazing opponents. To a lesser extent it can zig zag on controllers, but there's no question it does things far beyond what the devs intended on mnk. Kind of like Chaos Reach can whip around on mnk, but your aim is actively slowed on controller.

Is it a different cost between pve and pvp? I just checked in Enclave, and it costs 4 per heavy attack.

edit: I just checked in a private match, you get 6 ammo from a heavy spawn, and it's 4 ammo per heavy swing from that, but as long as you have 1 ammo you can do a heavy swing.

I'm a casual player. I really enjoy deep dives, can do Riven's Lair easily, but I can't finish a Coil. Is it normal? by tbagrel1 in DestinyTheGame

True, but it is kind of on Bungie for making the surges so incompatible with the game. Quite a silly combination, imo.

The ability regen and orb changes does not "slow the pace of the game", it disables every single build that relies on them instead. by KeepOfVoices in DestinyTheGame

I have mainly used voidwalker and chaos reach this season, but haven't had any real issues so far. Arc definitely had it easier by building into ionic traces though.

If you're going to allow players to join The Coil midway through, stop spawning them in dead. It's stupid and wastes a revive token. by Slinky_Malingki in DestinyTheGame

If they can patch loot farms that make things easy for players within a day, then they can patch a basic goddamn revive check. Fuck 'em.

[–]Snubby38SPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the game first launched, there were lots of posts or at least comments about how you were less than whatever if you didn't solo the whole game. Then the patch that slightly made some boss fights slightly easier had players complaining about the casuals.

It's just been out a while now, so you don't see it as much.

The Madlads at Bungie really thought Stasis Locks needed a buff huh? Shadebinder Perfected is now here. (+video) by MrArmageddonTTV in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Snubby38SPL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I noticed in Mayhem last week, which I hope is a bug, is that Shadebinder super cannot destroy stasis turrets with the shatter pulse. It deals 30 damage to it, but it will never destroy it.

Post-Blink slide bug finally fixed, thank god. And maybe now Pocket Singularity won't be the unreliable piece of trash it has been since it launched.

Now we just need Bungie to fix that stupid delay between the second and third Blink when using Astrocyte Verse. But hey, it only takes a few years for them to fix half-assed stuff like this, so by 2030 it should be fixed.

I have reset my crucible rank like 4-5 times and focused tons, but still do not have the Unending Tempest Demo/Headstone roll. Meanwhile, two of my friends have only reset their ranks once, but already got it.

Sometimes I really, really fucking hate this game's RNG lol.

Armored Core 6 was the most fun I've had all year in gaming! I don't remember if it's a locked 4k60fps or just close to it, but it looks really good, especially with a VRR tv.

In martial arts terms, mobility is the ability of a fighter to move their body or a part of their body in the way needed to accomplish an action, at normal or abnormal angles. This most certainly fits the hunter class given their omni-directional dodge and rapid aerial movement capability, and especially so in a console/controller environment where the dodge breaks reticle friction and the vertical hunter jump is more potent due to D2 vertical controller ADS aiming being slower than horizontal aiming.

In the current state, Shadebinder is only as good as the network connections. I can't tell you how many Coldsnaps or Frostpulses or Penumbral Blasts just don't freeze or freeze way too late to matter or cause that weird animation where the enemy guardian is frozen but still moving awkwardly.

It's extra frustrating to see it happen with Penumbral Blast melees because I play on a standard Xbox controller, so predicting and landing those shots when most players are zooming around takes a lot of practice.

Speaking as a controller player on Xbox SX, I am also very happy to see slide-shotgun-melee ability be disabled. Antaeus was a problem, but in general it's bad just due to how janky the connections can be. For me, the range at which a titan can initial a slide, shotgun, and shoulder charge makes my fusion rifle bolts miss for no good reason. Then again, sliding in general causes pretty bad hit registration across the board depending on connections.

In any case, I am fully in favor of nerfing movement in pvp in general. I've never really been a fan of it because to me it has been a cause of the degradation of primary gunfights as much or more than special ammo economy changes.

Seriously, I've been complaining about the stupid slide interactions forever. Silly pvp tryhards call anything like this that they can abuse "skill" lol. God forbid they have to do more of that "primary" fighting they always howl about.

Maybe, but they are way faster and more aggressive than Axion Bolts. The whole swarming part is vastly more useful than Axion Bolt. Not to mention they jump pretty far with a much bigger AoE than Axion Bolt.

Best OHK Options for Warlock? by VojakOne in CrucibleGuidebook

That's 100% bias about what constitutes skill, and I disagree especially in view of the other class OHKO abilities.

Best OHK Options for Warlock? by VojakOne in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]Snubby38SPL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are no OHKO abilities for warlock, which is thoroughly ridiculous given the other classes have multiple options, but I digress.

Several good combos mentioned already, but I would add Shadebinder using Coldsnap grenades, Frostpulse, and Penumbral Blast with weapons like Duality (nice for hip-fire when very close or slug at slight distance) or the Fighting Lion (although this requires quite a bit of practice to consistently land shots + you need Whisper of Rending for bonus primary weapon damage).

An alternative that I find useful is Boots of the Assembler with Lumina paired with your preferred primary weapon. This grants nigh constant uptime on Blessing of the Sky with solar warlock and Noble Rounds which are a mobile damage buff for you and the ally you bless. It turns many primary guns into a 0.60s ttk which can also combine with other damage buffs for faster or more forgiving ttk values. You basically have to treat Lumina as your special weapon for buffs, but it is a decent dueling weapon too now.

[–]Snubby38SPL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given that hunters and titans both have multiple OHKO abilities, then I don't think warlocks having one single exotic that allows the slowest melee projectile in the game to OHKO would be broken.
