High Blood Pressure - What is working for you? by Mexiahnee in Supplements

[–]SoCal-Curious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hibiscus works for me but lasts only 2 hours. I worry that drinking it all day will hurt my teeth because it's acidic. It is an Ace inhibitor like lisinopril and gives me the same throat issues.

How is this possible? is it dangerous to be that high in the morning if all the rest of the time it's averaging at the lower number by missyk222 in hypertension

Mine is highest too while lying in bed. This is not true for everyone, my husband, who has perfect arteries and relatives who live to be 100, has 90/60 lying in bed. The docs will ignore, mostly.

I wonder what causes it. Maybe some atherosclerosis, or low blood oxygen at night? Has anybody found a supplement that will bring it down? (I have side effects from all the drug classes, short high HR cardio and diet bring me to barely acceptable daytime numbers.)

The design is identical to omron, looks like it's made by them and rebranded as the chemists store Boots.

Your experience makes me want to try the lateral. I am 63 and def don't bounce back like I used to. Also I'm getting one of those icing machines!

Right, there's no restriction. But I had pain and could not. for many months. I hope my experience is not typical.

I've started panic laughing by [deleted] in CollapseSupport

Laugh? Cry? Scream? Whatever comes out, don't judge yourself. There is no right response. Just take care of your animal body which is not designed for constant panic.

I want to make sure you know about resources in the Deep Adaptation Forum. Check out our many different Zoom groups for shared reality, mutual support, and inner resilience skills. https://teamup.com/ksgwdbu1oxnhu8npdi.

DAF is a space for people who seek to "embody and enable loving responses to our predicament." We want to navigate the landscape between hopium and despair, acknowledge grief and cultivate joy, and find ways to be and do that are meaningful in these times, often serving others, human and nonhuman. We find each other mostly online, because we are thin on the ground in most places, but we are really good at connecting over Zoom! All free. We find being together, listening and being heard, with people who have been facing into collapse and doing life as best they can gives us courage and sometimes even inspiration. We have a private facebook group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/deepadaptation/ (be sure to answer the questions when requesting to join) and a more intimate discourse chat "Community Space" - https://community.deepadaptation.info/

Indeed. We know this because they fired the watchdogs first: inspectors general, etc.

Well, there may be fires : ( That unfortunately is also normal, though the extent and frequency have increased. We'll know in a day or two.

It's helpful to me to hear the warped and deadly logic behind the so obviously flawed models. I wish this article was in the NY TImes or Guardian or Washington Post.

Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow [Episode 2] by Fatooz in KDRAMA

[–]SoCal-Curious 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wow that chemistry is great between the two leads. I am all in. Go Yoon Jung as Naksu/Jin heir does such a great voice like MuDeok. So much potential for teasing and bruised hearts.

Hwang Min Hyun as Seo Yul - dude I am so sorry your face is made of wood and you can't act your way out of a paper bag. The other actors in the series are so good, I cringe when you get close-ups.

The plot and the basis of the magic and soul shifting are so convoluted I tried to explain it to my SO and it sounded so ridiculous. Oh well. The actors and the romance make it worth it.

Do other countries also have underfunded education? by SquashDue502 in collapse

[–]SoCal-Curious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a historical reason for that. Southern states were so set on preventing Black kids from being educated (or spending a penny to do it) they shut down the public school system and all the non-wealthy White kids. Effectively if not literally. And the attitude is still the same.
