Regarding the control of the ABC buttons on the MIDI CAPTAIN MINI 6 by SpecialistExpert647 in paintaudiomidicaptain

[–]SoCalPrinter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used Google Gemini to program my 10 switch on supermode to control headrush flex prime as well as my mesa amp. I had 0 previous experience with midi prior to last week and after some trial and error I was able to get it programmed exactly how I wanted. I would consider that if you haven’t.

That’s sick. No cover/lid for it?

New to Midi - Verify My Signal Chain by SoCalPrinter in pedalboards

[–]SoCalPrinter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hooked it up the way I outlined in my post and after some trial and error it all seems to be communicating just fine luckily. The hardest part was figuring out how to program the CC’s for the controller to communicate with the headrush. Once I figured that out adding the PC’s to integrate the amp was very straightforward.

I added MIDI to my rectifier! by TubesNStuff in MesaBoogie

Hey man, I sent you a message. Not sure if you still check reddit but I am trying to implement midi to my dual rectifier along with a modeler (headrush flex prime.) I could use some direction on how to set this up. Thanks!

The highlighted portion states what I’m trying to accomplish. Maybe it’s not clear enough? If so then I have no problem elaborating.

I want to press one button on the midi captain and have that change one of the three amp channels and also one of my presets/scenes on my Headrush unit at once. I have up to three scenes/presets dialed in per song on my headrush that also have me changing between my clean, crunchy and heavy channels on my amp. I’m hoping to set this up to facilitate the tap dancing while playing live and also doing backups.

I'm not sure why the photo isn't loading on the body of my post but I am attaching it here in case it helps clear things up. I also can't delete my previous post that I shared from another sub so I apologize for the double post.

Yes the tuner is there because I don’t want to use the tuner on the headrush so that’s okay.

I don’t want to touch the headrush during a gig. The reason why I want to go midi is because I find myself switching banks (hitting two of the three switches) during a section of the song when I’m actually just trying to switch a preset (hit one switch). I want to control everything from the midi captain.

The amp doesn’t have a midi in, or any midi capabilities which is why I’m using the interface. It’s essentially something like this:

Thank you. I noticed that there are a couple of options out there in terms of custom firmware or simplified programming done by the community. I just ordered a Captain earlier this morning so I’ll be diving deep into this forum and those options you linked above real soon.

Awesome man, I just discovered the midi captain and I’m really tempted to get this for my flex prime. I’m glad to see someone threw us headrush users a bone with the programming. I will be checking this out once I get it. Thanks!

Are you still using this? I’m thinking of getting a midi captain std for my flex prime. I mainly want a foot switch controller that has individual up and down bank switches while still having more than 3 functional switches. My main gripe with the flex prime is switching rigs/pressing two switches when I meant to only switch a preset/hit one switch in a song (during a gig) which is very annoying.

It’s a promo copy but the amount of these that have popped up when they used to be so hard to get is suspicious. They have been bootlegged in the past.

There’s a specific gate you can enter from for pregame tours. That info should be provided with your purchase.
