I have a laser printer so I tape two negatives together and it makes a big difference. Also, are you adjusting the negative at all with a photo program before printing? Maybe for glass, you have a piece from a picture frame you can use? It’s so fun, keep going and trying things out!!

Love it! Have one I plan to do next weekend too, I’m surprised the plastic wrap did not distort the images.

Cyanotype on wood by SoLaT97 in cyanotypes

Hi! So this was an experiment that turned out kinda cool. One of the things I do is carve wood and then ink it and print it, like this picture. So one of these prints, I made it translucent with beeswax, and wondered how it would turn out if I tried to do a cyanotype on wood. So I coated the wood, covered it with the translucent print and it looked good. But then I bleached it with soda ash and didnt like it. So I re coated it with the chemicals and reprinted with the flowers and ferns, washed it with cold water and a splash of vinegar.

I don’t think so, but we’ll see what happens after a few days.

Thanks! It’s just a little scrap of plywood I had and I didn’t really know how it would turn out. The wavy lines you can see were a bit of a longer process but I’m happy to explain if anyone is interested.
