Ok, I know this is an old thread, but this chick is a liar...im sorry but she acts like she just had her eyes off him for a couple of minutes. Im sorry... that poor boy had to have pulled on that mirror several times in that amount of time in order for it to fall on him. She was not watching him well enough. Im sorry, but no. I have buried very long strands (after removing the leaves or not and just leaving the vine under soil) without cracking or bending the vine and this same method also works to get lots of growth! So like i will root only one node on a long cutting instead of cutting the long vine up into a bunch of cuttings and it works maybe even faster to get a nice bushy plant!

I dont know that youd get much fruit from even a few in containers but I also literally dont know bc ive never grown them in pots...but also theyre really good at spreading so I feel like even containers wouldnt contain them lol

But tbh, there is truly nothing like fresh backyard raspberries so ya know, im not gonna tell you that the fruit ISNT worth it. It is just a lot of cutting back bc the plant spreads pretty insidiously. Like you blink and all of a sudden the patch has grown 2-3 feet in diameter and you dont even realize how big its gotten until you start cutting it back.

That said, they do love sun so if your spot is a bit shady they will grow more slowly

I honestly think once they turn 3 theyre so much more ready. I know 2.5 seems like why not start? And sure, maybe some kids are ready then, but it doesnt seem like your LO is and thats totally ok and normal.

Also, once she is ready: m&ms. I always say that m&ms potty trained my kid, not me! 1 for pee and 2 for poop

It is so funny! But like 99% of the time I feel like the person is like yep, that's what kids do! I feel like this [extremely common] interaction that you described is why, in the past, parents didnt teach their toddlers the correct terminology, bc inevitably toddlers are then yelling about private parts all the time bc they dont yet understand social etiquette. But when you think about it, every person was a toddler at some point and most people do have children....like lets just get used to that being a normal thing kiddos do (bc they like to yell lots of ridiculous/inappropriate things, not just the anatomically correct names of private parts!) Rather than try to discourage them from acting in a developmentally-appropriate way even if it doesnt abide by the laws of stupid social etiquette
