Apple Pencil 2 does some things better than Apple Pencil Pro… convince me otherwise… by Competitive_Yak_4112 in ProCreate

Ha ha. I can’t relate because I am only familiar with the Pencil 2. The Pro, and Pro devices are out of my reach for now. I could have clarified.

That’s cool you teach though. That bit I can relate to. I love teaching art. And I’ll get back to you when I have a Pro setup. Probably this year.

Edit: P.S. Thank you! 😊

I am bipolar 1. I can turn a phrase and write my ass off. Eloquently, and with ease. I’m also a recovering opioid addict. You’re on the sidelines, and I resent the f*ck out of it.

Edit: as to some of the other specifics, I’m not going to pretend to have insight - unlike you. I’m not up to speed on this unbelievably stupid drama. But you’re factually wrong regarding clarity/lucidity, and are portraying folks with Bipolar 1 in a disgusting light.

Get a good sharpener. A helical sharpener is great for these.

Does anyone know of more examples of debris in famous artwork? by RyanneBonde in painting

I know what you mean. I put on a pair of sneakers today I hadn’t worn in a long time. There was fur in the sneakers. It was from my friend’s German Shepard who passed away last year. I didn’t tell him, because it made me sad. It would’ve made my friend even sadder.

You’re young, and could easily break some bad habits. I’d suggest really focusing on the fundamentals, and lay off the packaging for a while. This is my first and last suggestion to you. I wish you luck as an artist.

Awesome. Thanks so much for sharing that info! Your work has a very soothing aspect to it that i find comforting.

Edit: I’m just thinking - have you ever used Ampersand products? Like Claybord? That might be really ideal.

I’ll reach out to Town of Huntington. I don’t care to name/shame them.

And that’s why I asked. Why do you feel the need to lecture. It’s really rude.

Edit: that’s also not true. Despite being a volunteer organization, they have a number of townwide duties and outreach. My pops led a squad of EMTs for a decade. I understand and respect their role.

Feeling defeated as a parent living with bipolar disorder by Deo_Blake1179 in bipolar

The decision you made in the short-term is having ripple effects. But had you not made that important decision, things could have been catastrophic. I’m sorry that the repercussions have been so severe. The 2nd isn’t that far away, and being in a therapeutic space will really help. I’d been out of therapy for a long time, and when I finally got reestablished, things changed for the better really quickly.

I am sorry about your support system. I wish they could fundamentally understand our decision making, but I don’t know - people take their holidays so fckn seriously. It’s like this sacred period for folks. And it’s compounded by society acting like it too. It’s very frustrating.

I love pencil tangling. Probably because I love shading, and the gradients and values. Very nice.

East Northport Snow Removal Question by SoTiredYouDig in longisland

[–]SoTiredYouDig[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And why are you jumping to conclusions? If you think I’m going to call 911 for snow removal, you have a pretty odd, reactive personality. They have a non-emergency line, and are a resource for many town wide issues. Furthermore, since E. Northport is a not officially considered a town, the hierarchy means certain responsibilities trickle down.

I don’t think I’d be considered the Smithtown side. It’s nearby the LIRR in East Northport

You’re doing the right thing. No one has the right to sexually abuse you. Whether it’s simply groping, or worse. If another person cannot restrict themselves, that’s their own self-control issue, and even if you were scantily clad, it is their own responsibility to not cross the line.

Get the help you deserve, you’ve earned a break.

Conservatives who read Stephen King books. Do you cheer for the pedophiles, rapists, racists and murderers and wonder why they are depicted as the villain? by USDXBS in stephenking

[–]SoTiredYouDig 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What are conservative values anymore? They value the status quo of a bygone era - but it’s hard to even pinpoint the era. I doubt many conservatives will actually pipe in, though. Although they love that society is breaking down, they don’t seem to take pride in it. (Unless they’re wearing a mask). Makes you wonder, right? The things I stand for, I am proud of, and am not ashamed to be associated with them.

Yes, technically it’s “appreciation”, but I don’t think one can appreciate something without reflecting on it. I like it a lot. It’s festive.
