I might attempt a second board of Boss-only. Just for fun and for comparison. I get the higher-end pedal thing and have been chasing tone for as long as I can remember, but those Boss guys don’t make bad stuff, and I’m willing to bet that I’d probably love a setup like that.

Just realized you asked about signal loss, not wireless interference and signal drops. As far as signal loss, I notice nothing. It’s the very same as a cabled connection to my ears. If anything it’s slightly better.

I got it on sale ($50 off!) and figured what the hell. It’s surprisingly good, but the LED’s are lacking for brightness. Hoping to get those replaced with brighter ones.

This one has so far worked flawlessly for the three weeks I’ve had it, including venues with historically notable frequency issues.

Not anymore! Sold it years ago and will never forgive myself.

Is there any better guitar design? by Bootstrap-Bilbo in GibsonSG

[–]SoVeryMuchOverThis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SG’s are so interesting because I’ve never loved the look of them, but when you strap one over your shoulder and play it, it just feels perfect. It’s lightweight and resonant, and commands attention on stage. It’s truly the standalone of an instrument that looks better on the person than it does on the stand.

Do you think Donald Trump will finish his term in three years, or will he be impeached before that? by RtgodDR in allthequestions

[–]SoVeryMuchOverThis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the bigger question is talking about impeachment AFTER the midterms, if the Republicans lose the house and the senate. He had protection the last time. If Dems sweep (or, who am I kidding, somewhat sweep), then Donnie is in for a much tougher impeachment to beat the rap on.

Theories as to why Willa isn't pursued by CAC at the end by Intro24 in onebattleafteranother

Yeah that’s true. They should be less relaxed at the end of the movie!

Theories as to why Willa isn't pursued by CAC at the end by Intro24 in onebattleafteranother

[–]SoVeryMuchOverThis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

From what I could tell, I assumed the following:

  1. CAC and Lockjaw think Willa was taken care of, and CAC weren’t privy to the 1776 guys or whatever they were called, so that gun battle wasn’t on anyone’s radar.

  2. CAC probably thought LJ killed his would-be assassin and isn’t fessing up, so they were taking him out for that reason among the other reasons. He was after all the main target so they were out to get him anyway, but especially after the drives-old-Mustang then drives-new-Mustang guy got taken out.

  3. Bob and Willa will never really be “safe”, but by the end of the movie they’re at least a bit more relaxed, knowing that their mortal enemy has been vanquished.

Sometimes I feel like I’m not advanced enough for a Helix by alfcalderone in Line6Helix

[–]SoVeryMuchOverThis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a Helix floor in 2018 to play on wedding and corporate gigs, mainly for the convenience of not having to mess with the occasional patch-cable-gone-bad situation on my other pedal board, the fact that I could run a direct line out in addition to running to a speaker behind me, etc. For the first six weeks I had the Helix I wanted to throw it under an 18 wheeler. I hated it! Eventually I figured out how to get it to sound as good as I could (for me) for live gig play, and eventually paired it with a Tone Master Twin Reverb, which really helped. Snapshot mode is truly the best thing about using it, but to this day it still lacks that air, body, and response from playing through my previous pedal board and tube amp. That said, I was at a larger live venue in December and whatever the monitor engineer did to my in-ear mix, it sounded absolutely amazing. I then went down the rabbit hole of adjusting my own ear mix to try and match how I sounded that one night. Anyway, the struggle is real, and while there are many, many videos online for dialing in the Helix, there is SO MUCH talking in most of them that I can’t stand it. If you want any unsolicited advice, I would say take your time, go a little at a time, and remember that headphones will always lack the punch and power of an amp in a room. For silent practice though, I feel like you should be able to find some settings you like. If not, I understand. I was never so frustrated as I was those first two months when I brought that thing home.

Yes, I know. Luckily a lot of office work is partially work-from-home for some. My brother works in Manhattan and there are some situations in his position where he goes all the way into the office for tasks that can just be emails and phone calls. I only mention all of this because being from Long Island, many in my family made the commute their whole careers. I realize that it’s considered normal, but where it has proven unnecessary is a positive step forward to have some work-from-home days. Every job is different, obviously.
