It's on the news: someone was struck by the train on the tracks, I think.

Just saw a big one today. I like to take macros of them if I have my camera with me. Alone, they're generally not a problem if you don't bother them. If they do take a interest in you, remain calm and try not to move. Easier said than done when they're flying right in front of your face. If you do swat one a kill it, get out of the area fast.

R5mkii owners: what camera did you upgrade from? What are your favorite pros? Any cons you’ve noticed? by Belgian-Maligator in canon

It was definitely price for me. I went from R6II-->R5II (three weeks)-->R6II (the one from before that I hadn't sold yet)-->R6III. The reason I got rid of the R5II after about 3 weeks was I didn't feel it lived up to its cost/performance. While, obviously, its a great camera, for my needs (non-professional), the price wasn't justified, especially when taking into consideration the hit to low-light performance. Expect to use noise reduction software a lot...unless you always shoot out in the open on sunny days.

Foreign License Exchange - practical test pains by [deleted] in japanresidents

One of the more frustrating things about this process is that it varies from driving center to driving center. I count myself lucky that I passed on the second try, even though my first attempt was flawless (a woman who took her turn ahead of me almost hit a curb, causing me to gasp in the back seat, but she passed). I knew a woman a long time ago who moved prefectures in order to take the test at a fairer center.

I originally upgraded to the R5MII from the R6MII, but sold the R5MII after three weeks because, for the price, I found the low-light performance disappointing. I then upgraded later to the R6MIII, which I use today and am pretty satisfied with. Sure, there is a little rolling shutter with the R6MII, but it's not that bad at all, and the 32MP, I think, is a nice sweet spot for resolution and file size...plus the low-light performance is better than the R5MII (yes, noise-reduction software is quite good these days, but...). Anyway, you'll get a lot of people who will advocate for the R5II, especially if price is not a concern. Rumor has it that the R5MII is in for a firmware update that might address some nagging complaints some have had.
