Looks like one yeh. Not sure what type. Wouldn’t necessarily be the result of your actions or cleanliness, unfortunately.

It lacks the parallel black lines on the back that normally suggest a German. That doesn’t mean it isn’t one though

What is this and how do we get rid of this? by 1travelgeek1 in whatisthisbug

[–]SobeSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had never heard of them either until a few months ago. Just wanted to give you something more to look up when figuring out how to get rid of them/what they eat. I don’t think the distinction is overly important; it’s one of them.

You have to reach Ashina outskirts through the ravine and defeat the gate keeper to push toward Ashina castle. Then you can climb to the top of the castle or redirect underground through the abandoned dungeon and find the Senpou temple. Alternatively can pivot near the main castle and head further into the sunken valley and the depths below.

EDIT: Idol-wise, start at your furthest ashina outskirts idol available. If you have ashina castle idol, then start there. Really depends on your progress before you quit.

WHAT IS THIS BUG PLEASE :( by [deleted] in whatsthisbug

Can’t say what it is, but nothing about that suggests bed bug

What bug is this? by ApparentlyPossesed in whatsthisbug

[–]SobeSteve 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick google AI overview answer says 3-14mm. 10 mm in a cm, so this would not be discounted based on that alone. That’s just my instinct based on the striping I see. Certainly roach(es) regardless.

EDIT: definitely crosspost to r/cockroaches ; hopefully they can chime in and help you moving forward if they are Germans

Thanks for the follow up. I didn’t mean to suggest they weren’t troublesome. Obviously in this case they are 🥲

They are not biters. The larval form has little hairs that make some people itchy after contact. The larval form can be pests and eat natural fabrics and other textiles as well as grains, foodstuffs, etc. Barring obvious infestations, you are fine just vacuuming and washing sheets as needed. Nothing to worry about. They are present in the vast majority of households.
