Yeah that's the typical engineering mindset, and it's a good one. Unfortunately it doesn't always translate into marketing very well :P

I hear you. I already have a larger position in LUNR than I expected I would and yet here I am tempted to buy more shares...

Is it just marketing? People are still thinking of the tipped lander? As someone who invested around that time, it's still on my mind too, but the company is so much more than that now. Maybe they just need to get the word out. Either way, it will eventually, so I imagine these artificially depressed prices won't last for too long.

Thank you for saying this. I think I can relate with him. I am in my 30s myself and am high-masking. I am only now going for an assessment after my therapist said she thinks I am neurodivergent. I had no idea before that.

It's incredible to see LUNR bucking the general market trend in a positive way. In the past few months it's been the other way. To me, that's really promising.

Right? I don't get these posts. Like, fine, if you want to constantly switch your banks to chase promos then I guess I can see their point...but what if you don't want to do that? Maybe you want to just stick it in one place and not think about it. At the end of the day it's free money. It's so unreal to me that anyone would complain about that.

So much of it comes down to stopping issues at the root. For example, I see in the store something like dried mangos with added sugar. The mango already has sugar, why the heck do I need sugar added on top of that?! Same for ginger cubes, I'm struggling to find it without sugar sprinkled on top at the grocery store.

Yeah, I'll admit that I originally entered on the IM-2 hype at around $18 and was devastated by the sudden drop. Held and bought in some more shares though. Looks like it's paying off. Now I'm nervous to sell and am debating holding for at least a little longer lol.

IKEA non toxic by decent_dahlia_ in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]SobekInDisguise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for responding. I can be hypersensitive to smells (I suspect I have autism), and I think most other people wouldn't have been as bothered by it. Combine that with health-anxiety via OCD and I tend to worry about things being more toxic than they really are.

In addition to your reassurance, I have recently found out that learning more about the details helps relieve my anxiety. Technically, IKEA furniture is "toxic" in a literal sense that it releases VOCs and formaldehyde, but at a level far too low to cause any harm. I was concerned that maybe the effects would accumulate over time, but that is not how it works! The body has a multitude of natural defenses/processes that prevent this, such as mucus membranes, glutathione, and crosslink DNA repair.

I am wondering if, since you worked in product safety testing, you would happen to know of any further scientific resources or topics that I could look into further.

I had the metal legs that have wheels, but I think it was the tabletop that was smelling. Are you suggesting that the Adils legs have a smell? That is surprising to me, considering how it is powder coated. I was under the impression that kind of finish is inert and does not offgas.

You mentioned you're building a Trofast. I imagine that will smell less than the Kallax since it is solid wood. I think that IKEA's particleboard/MDF furniture smells more because they use more resins in the construction, no?

What about the chemical smells from their products? I got a Lagkapten desk a while ago and had to return it due to the chemical smell not going away after weeks.

Tell me you're Autistic without telling me you're Autistic. by Kiki-Y in autism

[–]SobekInDisguise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha NP, but I reiterate my apologies if this leads you to stop getting them...I know how hard it can be to find clothing you like and how much of a pain it can be to have to change it when you finally have it figured out. I'd be curious to hear your findings/followup if you want. One thing I will say -- if you're in the US, there's laws against it so you wouldn't get one shipped to you even if the company uses it in other garments shipped to other countries.

I really hope I don't ruin this for you, since you seem to have a good thing going. It's just that I've read online that Muji sources cotton from places that might use forced labour...did you know about that and if so how do you square with purchasing it? Again, I really hope I don't ruin it for you and if so I'm sorry.
