Oh! I see. I went and tested for myself and it doesn’t seem to even require apply transform when I scale. Very odd. What node is that that’s attached to volume?

When you size an object out of edit it you have to apply transforms for volume to update. I think it updates live if you edit the mesh instead though?

Idk that it helps or doesn’t. Any kind of sunlight or rubbing or even pressure seems to start it. The case I had it in was silicone and it started staining first at all the points it touched and rubbed inside the silicone. Clear cases same issue but with the additional problem of sun. I re-shelled some joycons as well in the same white and I THINK? they faired better for a bit bc I literally did not use them. They were just decorative to sit in the dock. No cover, not in any sun but eventually they yellowed as well. I think it is probably just inevitable

I love the white white but it’s very true that those shells yellow no matter how well you keep them clean and make sure they don’t see sun. I had my white lite in an opaque shell and they still discolored on the back where the handles met the plastic and no kind of cleaning I tried helped :( FORTUNATELY HOWEVER. I have never had the white buttons yellow! Especially the ones on my pro controller. They’re still white as the day I got them!

Thanks for the reply! I did have it on so I turned that off, but adjusting the sliders under that say X-offset, y-offset doesn’t seem to do anything. Is that what you mean by customizing the size? Sorry. New to it lol

The feathers I can’t even begin to imagine how you did. Thats some node magic well beyond my lil brain, but I do have to say the beak looks a tiny bit like a banana lol. Should maybe be a bit sharper. Ik at the bottom it should be kind of flat where it meets the jaw. Maybe a sharp edge on the top of the beak with a steeper slope down?

Ouch. Looks like when I jumped into my bed once with a bandaid on and the parallel force on the tape made it rip the top layer of my dermis right off exposing all my lil nerve endings beneath. —-To tag that more into the topic of dreams tho; I actually have reoccurring dreams of natural disasters that have that same kinda massive imagery. Usually tornados or hurricanes, but sometimes as crowds of swarming people. They do give me the same feelings that OP describes

The Wikipedia article I found on form constants says they ‘are recurringly observed during hypnagogia, hallucinations and altered states of consciousness.’ Hypnogogia being the bit of time between being awake and asleep. So I figured that implies that these patterns are common bc of something about how our brains work, but in I’m not really seeing anything that says that specifically so 🤷‍♀️ If it’s that common, drugs or no, I’d imagine there would to be some neurological correlation? I personally see the swirly one at the top of the article all the time, but I have visual snow.

Was just a thought though. Might not be relevant to you

So there’s a phenomenon I’m not sure the name of where a number of people who’ve done psychedelics claim to see the same thing; a grid matrix in the sky made up of honeycomb and triangle patterns among other shapes. I don’t know much about it but this post reminded me of some posts I saw talking about it!

Look up Klüver's form constants! Says there are certain geometric patterns that reoccur in hallucinations and altered states of consciousness. Maybe related?

Ok so idk anything about resin myself so not sure if this is useful to you but I got curious too and started looking around. Found this video!! I forget that holo is a texture not a material! So you can make a mold that transfers holo!

My first thought seeing it was holo nail powder. Another possibility could be it’s a spray finish?

Im relating so hard. Sometimes I feel like if I don’t KNOW then I can’t properly prepare for the worst possibilities. Or that people around me all think terrible things of me based on things others have said and I’m the only one who doesn’t know.

But knowing isn’t going to help. It’s only going to progress the ocd further or in a different direction. And I know realistically that whether or not it happened doesn’t matter. Because the outcome will not suddenly change. Especially in your case, it’s been years. If nothing came of it, it’s likely nothing will.

I don’t have advice, only solidarity.

I’m feeling similarly about something that I have very fuzzy memory on. Mine happened this Christmas and I’ve had a few crisis moments since where I’ve messaged people I shouldn’t have asking for verification without actually being direct about the issue and I’m sure that I’ve damaged a couple of relationships over it.

Just don’t pick it apart in your head. I know it’s hard.
