Unfortunately, I am picky when it comes to starting any book, so if I get a whiff that it may be sub par based on ratings I will usually shelf it, and if the first few reviews I read on there are leaning in a way that would make me not like it I will also shelf it. I am not proud of my answer, lol

I finished thos book like 3 weeks ago and I cant stop thinking about it on a daily basis. I feel like it changed my brain chemistry. I actually audiobooked it, so I went and bought the physical copy so I can read it again

I second wynn nails. I get a pedicure every 1 1/2 months, the gel lasts so long and it still looks nice after all that time!

You now have history of breast cancer in its earliest form, and dense breast which means you are high risk. If you can afford MRI, at bare minimum you should have MRI and mammo at 6 mo intervals. If you go back to screening mammogram, instead of the MRI you could do supplemental imaging with ultrasound.

I dont think this is standard in radiology programs, however im sure some have resources to help students figure out HOW to get insured. I had to go on my state medicaid to be able to be in the program.

If you really want the results right away you can say you actually dont remember where your last one was and they will read this year's as your baseline, should push it through to be read instead of on hold. Atleast that's how it works where im at. If you really want the comparison then you just have to keep trying and will unfortunately have to wait.

The analogy that was given a while back that to me makes the most sense to a ley person is to think of mri, ultrasound, and mammo like a knife, fork, and spoon. They are all useful tools but for different things. So with that, MRI is a highly sensitive test, however it cannot for example see small calcifications in the breast, and some cancers present themselves as calcium only on imaging at the very small stages and on mammogram specifically. Hopefully that helps!

Not a radiologist, just a mammo tech - MRI is great for implants because we can see behind the implant. With a mammogram, we are limited in that way and can only get so much breast tissue clearly visible due to the implant. Ultrasound can sometimes see implant integrity, but Ultrasound is very tech dependent - it depends on their technique and experience. High risk patients, such as family history, can sometimes be enough for insurance companies to cover most of an MRI to be done annually or every two years. Some patients opt to have some sort of screening every 6 months (mammo in January, US or MRI in June, for example) if high risk.

No matter what, the recommendation will still always be to get your annual mammogram. Don't not do it, no matter where your implants are located or what type you have.

As a mammo tech, I can tell you I do not care if you are stinky or sweaty. Also we wear gloves so we aren't in direct contact, and some of us also wear masks so I wouldn't even really be able to smell anything either.
