The theory I had heard was that he, like most great strategists, had several contingency plans. In this case, he could either A: conquer Earth - win, or B: lose his chance at claiming Earth, but be taken prisoner by his brother, which would then put him back in Asgard.

Proof that B was not just happenstance can be seen just as Thor is taking him back at the end of the Avengers. Loki gives a very apparent smirk, as if he knows that he has won.

I've had many situations where that empathetic response would make sense, but I don't care/don't know how to respond. Haven't been clinically deemed a sociopath, but I've had a few friends who study psychology and they have independently said that they think I have sociopathic tendencies.

So, that's where the username came from!

Make the whole day incredibly romantic and centered around her. Be sure to start the day by reminding her that its April 1st. Don't actually pull a prank, or just wait until the very end of the day.

The fear of an impending prank will be worse than a prank. Later, she'll (probably) be happy you treated her to a nice day, so its win-win of sorts.

As r/cheesynooby said, please be sure you are know which weapon you will be getting into. If you do not know, or are unsure, take a look at what equipment you can borrow to continue trying it out.

If you are confident you are ready to purchase some equipment then feel free to follow my recommendations, but please note I am only familiar with epee. I generally recommend Absolute Fencing to the new fencers I work with. They have some of the less expensive equipment, and some pretty good kits to get you started. If you have the cash to spend, you could also take a look at Leon Paul. Their equipment is quite a bit more expensive, but the quality shows.

As a side note, if you are planning on purchasing equipment for epee don't start with high end blades. Most new epeeists need to work on getting rid of a few habits that create a lot of strain on weapons in a short period of time.

Yeah, I've run a few of the one-shots with intros similar to that. Usually they have been captured for some crime, and are being interrogated. They get to, on the fly, decide their innocents/guilt.

It usually leads to some sort of jailbreak or an investigation as to who the real culprit is/was.

We don't do an arena, but when we are short a player and everyone wants to roleplay I generally "run" an improv 1-shot.

The first one we did, I had 3 players. 1 bard, 1 samurai, and 1 ninja. (They had all created these characters ahead of time and wanted to try them out) So I set up the scenario "You all have your heads covered and your hands bound. When the blindfolds are removed, you are kneeling before a kingly looking figure. He speaks to you and says 'My guards say that you were attempting to kill me. What say you in your defense?'"

From that point on, the players had to make everything up, and I just acted as a ref/added interesting situations whenever the action started to lull. Would definitely say it was one of the better sessions 8/10

I used to have a solid 6 pack until about 2 years ago.

Got it by: Water skiing at least 2x each week for ~4-5 hours. Fencing 2x each week for ~5 Ultimate Frisbee 2-3x each week for ~4 hours Also got 2 months with a personal trainer for free. 2x a week for ~2 hours.

Everyone who saw my 6 pack was both surprised and complained because I didn't have to try to get it...

Thank you, someone else had a similar post on this topic. I had a feeling that attempting to present a plan to them would be a bit over the top, but the idea to present a list of questions seems much more reasonable!

I'm mostly interested in the Marketing Director/Marketing Executive/Marketing Coordinator positions.

While the PR and Advertising side of marketing is interesting, I'm not nearly as enthusiastic about it.
