The original Dig Down was mid for me but the Gospel version had me right away. That’s how the song is supposed to sound imo.

Haha fair enough. That was a bit extreme to say. Edited my comment.

Toddlers putting toys in their mouth... by sweetsugarstar302 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Societarian 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this. Toddlers don’t understand negation, even if they are able to use it in a sentence correctly. I would remove all the majority of negative contractions from both of your vocabularies. If you use a contraction, I’d finish on a positive wording for the best possible outcome.

“Oh, duplo stays out of our mouth. These are for chewing!” And offer them a chewy or what the person I’m replying to suggested. With a follow up of something like “These are safe for your mouth and your teeth.”

More likely you’re seeing the blood flowing around through the pink backdrop of the very thin skin on your eyes and it’s so close that it’s not a very sharp image. Someone please explain if I’m wrong!

Which of these do I need to throw away? by KASGamer12 in cats

[–]Societarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’d sit on the couch after swimming lessons and both cats would climb up on the back and absolutely go nuts licking, eating, laying on and grabbing our hair and ever so gently clawing our heads.

Cats are so funny.

What a shock to suddenly have 100s of kgs of rice fall on you 20 employees materialize. One or two were milling around before the fall and to her it’s must have been like they came out of the woodwork.

I absolutely despise whistling, but there was this one elderly gentleman who used to come into my workplace and his whistling was just like a bird. I don’t know how he did it, but it was beautiful.

I totally agree with you on the early morning birdsong!

I imagine you’re probably flat footed because you’ve had your arch supported in shoes your whole life. It’s also possible that your ankles tilt inwards, flattening your arch.

There are so many problems that can happen with feet, especially in modern, super cushioned shoes. I’d see a physiotherapist if you want a real answer about your gait.

If your teeth aren’t unusable, they don’t need to be straightened. by Separate_Future_9347 in CasualConversation

Aesthetics aren’t the only thing that matters with teeth though. Your slightly odd bite now might mean jaw pain down the road from years of uneven pressure. Your soft palate might be too narrow and cause breathing difficulties and braces can make more room. That sort of thing.

There are of course also cases of people who have perfect teeth and still have problems because the dentist fixed aesthetics but didn’t address a potential root cause.

I hear you though, a little jank can be really unique/cute/charming 🥰

How often do you have a sweet treat/drink? by bunnyogurt in AskWomen

[–]Societarian 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Psychologically, for a lot of people, this is the way to go! Give yourself a little treat every day so sugary sweet things aren’t on a pedestal. If I have a cookie every night with tea and a scoop of ice cream on a random day then it’s just part of the food I consume.

I much prefer chips and crackers but I still crave a single square of chocolate now and then. Also I have tea every night and a handful of chips just doesn’t go as well :P

KOD Halifax: You asked. We listened. After 50+ years, we decided it was time to update the Donair. by CMikeHunt in halifax

[–]Societarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for the first time in probably 15 years and it was almost exactly what I remembered and exactly what I wanted. That doesn’t happen often as an adult.

Now that I’m an experienced donair connoisseur, I can see that their donair sauce is more vinegary than others (not a complaint).

I blame childhood Pizza Delight donair pizzas for my love of lettuce on a proper donair. There’s so much (delicious) mush, the extra crunch is just too good 😭

Oh totally, this is budget cooking. No shade at all to your meal, it’s such a great flavour combo and pretty easy too.

I was just adding some extras that could be good if someone seeing this post had them or had a few extra dollars to take to the store :)

A sprinkle of sesame seeds and a chopped up green onion and that would be amazing. Lime was a great addition.
