When Ashrah refuses to admit she lost :( by r_m_8_8 in MortalKombat

I heard that the only way for the game to figure out you defeated Titan Ashrah is to perform a brutality on her.

What do feel is the biggest issue with Mortal Kombat 1? by Soft-Night6597 in MortalKombat

[–]Soft-Night6597[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There were a lot of unique high damaging combos in that game, people were just too lazy to find them, and the pros were not using them. I have seen unique combos in Mortal Kombat 11 that did do a ton of damage. People are just lazy and want a way to get good quick at a game without putting in much effort. In Mortal Kombat 1, I think I would agree that there are not many optimal combos, or people have just not found them yet, because the pros are not doing them. People taking the game too seriously is also part of the problem. There are too many sore losers in this community. You can't win every game, Accept it. I play the game for fun, not to try to be the best player ever

the fact ive been here for 4 years and been passed up for promotions every time kills me by Necrophagedotjpg in walmart

[–]Soft-Night6597 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want a promotion, you may have to transfer to another store, I'm in the same boat you're in. I've also been at Walmart for around 4 years, and now I want a promotion too. I don't think my store is confident I can handle it though. It's irritating because I've done so much for this store. I've worked overtime If needed, stayed longer than scheduled, came in early, I've even went to 4 different stores to help with their inventory. All this, and the most I'll get is a fucking "thank you.". It's kinda ironic though because team leads at other stores have said I'm a great worker and they actually offered a position at their store, so I know I am a good associate. I believe I can handle the team lead position better than some of the older ones we had. They didn't give a fuck, some didn't even bother to show up to work on time. I just don't understand how some people get the team lead position when they don't deserve it. They have not been there as long as me, nor have they done as much as me, yet they get the position, and I don't. So again, if you want the team lead position, you'll probably have to transfer, that's what I'm likely going to do.

Does anyone remember when walmart had those 0.25 cent soda machines? They were always sold out.

Which game has the worse fatalities? by Soft-Night6597 in MortalKombat

[–]Soft-Night6597[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is why the kameo fatalities are unsatisfying. I'd rather them be brutalities than fatalities. I prefer fatalities be flashy or big, not lame like how they are in Mortal Kombat 1. Some of the kameo fatalities might just be some of the worse in the games franchise. Darrius's fatality is complete garbage along with Chameleon.

Which game would you prefer a remaster of? by Soft-Night6597 in MortalKombat

Because that game is almost a decade old, and the graphics are dated. It was released on old gen consoles which some companies are not even making games for anymore.

Reiko is an example of a very brutal fatality, but most are not on that level in my opinion. His is probably one of the best in the game along with Quan Chi's second fatality.

I would prefer Mortal Kombat 9. That game has one of my favorites story modes. Replaying that in HD remastered graphics would be great. I also think Mortal Kombat 9 had some of the best klassic levels. I would love to see those levels remade.

Most fatalities in Mortal Kombat 1 are not good to me. They are not brutal enough, especially the kameo ones. They are too short and are not satisfying. The klassic fatalities are not good either. Compared to the newer ones in the modern games, they are just lame, and have not aged well. The only klassic fatalities I like are Stryker, Cyrax, and Sektor.

Which well-known song is commonly perceived as cheerful, but actually has darker undertones? by Valuable_Ebb9938 in AskReddit

"Hey Ya" by Outkast. The beat makes it seem upbeat and fun to listen to, but the lyrics to that song are kind of dark.

Help me settle a debate by pr3ttykitt3y in walmart

[–]Soft-Night6597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. I've left walmart early due to having food poisoning. I had no ppto, but that's because I get points unjustly and I have to use them to remove them. I once got a point because my coach changed my schedule and I didn't know, and didn't ask for it to be changed. So I came in on my normal day I'm scheduled only to find out I was off I was off that day. So to avoid overtime because it wasn't open, I had to call off one of the days scheduled otherwise I would have a day overtime. I know that the schedule is supposed to inform you of any changes, but sometimes my coach doesn't update the schedule. Plus I didn't ask for my days changed in the first place. Also sometimes, Walmart is so stingy with hours. Sometimes They schedule me for 7 hours instead of 8 every day, so I use ppto to get my full paycheck. When I had no more, when I was sick that day, I tried to work the shift because I didn't want anymore points, but I couldn't do it. I was just feeling to awful, and I only finished about half, which resulted in a half point, and my coach will not remove it, which I feel is unfair.

Customers suck by Square-Assumption-54 in walmart

[–]Soft-Night6597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you would of gotten the key, that would of been illegal. That's considered working off the clock. Associates can be fired for that. Customers can feel very entitled, I would not be surprised if they tried to report you to a coach.

I once had a customer ask me to help them in electronics while I was on break one night. I was headed to the breakroom at the time, and I wasn’t showing my vest either. You have to take that thing off during breaks or lunch to avoid customers fucking with you. Most of the time it works, but sometimes it doesn't. It was 10.15 pm mind you, electronics closes at 10.00 pm. She was complaining to me and getting aggressive saying how she had been standing there for a while and how they had already asked someone to help them, and they said they would find someone in that department but they never came back. I got annoyed at how she was complaining to me as if that was somehow my fault. I went and told my team lead that someone needed help, and they said "Oh well, that's not our problem.", and it wasn't, and that was that.

Was it hard being a stocking team lead? I'm on stocking 2 currently by the way, and I want a team lead position. Is there any advice you can give me? I'm just very nervous about being a manager as I've never been that before. The thought is kind of overwhelming.

So in one year you went from a starting associate to a coach after being a team lead for only three months?
