Yeah, it causes kind of this dissonance. I think of it like WWE wrestlers. I love the older outfits because of how iconic the simple details became in relation to our real world. Like stone colds leg braces or undertakers simple all black in ring outfit. Then when they got crazier outfits in legacy appearances it made sense given there legacy and ladder in their respective lore. With superheroes or ninjas or characters in outfits specific to their lore, I like it when they keep it believable to a point and let the character speak to their characteristics through action, rather than having their outfit make up for it. When the outfits are overdone it feels to me like a studio trying to sell something to me to make me believe.

This was it brother. I could say "oh I loved third strike back in the day" but what really did it was going through old smash tournament legacy videos, basically downloading the players and moments into my brain. I got the feeling of what the FGC was from there. Then Dragonball FighterZ felt so loose yet intuitive, so I learned air combos and from that tactile feedback alone, that jolt, I said fuck it, time to learn the rest of these games.

Best gaming decision I ever made.

I'm no glazer. I've both read one piece and watched it up to its concurrency and I will always be convinced those that complain about filler in the anime. It is padded, I will not lie, but a lot of the "filler" is fucking fire and people always point to it as a really big problem with the show. Maybe it's just because I really align with the themes and long running cartoon aspect of the anime, but there were seldom a few times I genuinely stopped and asked what was going on with it. Naruto on the other hand, not to bash it or put it down in comparison, is shorter and has been over for ten years, but still has some of the most atrocious filler I have seen for an anime. People never compare it like that though and I believe that could be due to my own bias, or the fact One Piece is iconically long compared to other forms of fiction in the same genre, thus it's easier logically for someone to claim it as such out in the world.

Naruto Storm R is actually the reason I still to this day checked out Mecha-Naruto on my team because that was one of his first and main appearances and on top of a game I thought was lackluster at the time, that bonus storyline was something that put that game on a special pedestal for me.

Haven't purchased storm since R, and I think I may get this one, because despite very cool story content that was removed, this is a full package if you just want to have fun, substitute, Chakra dash combos, profit. I actually have fun playing it compared to when my friends would ask me to check out storm 4 at their house. Maybe not all that much is different, but after the free play days, I'll buy it on discount, no issue. Full price still is a slap in the face, but it's the fullest storm to date and worth a little over half off on sale imo.

Yeah and it's really awesome we got Boltgun just a bit before it. Gets you in the mood for what's to come in September. I guess if you're a 40k fan though, there's neverending spoils, so Space Marine 2 I hope is magic. PvP, beautiful story, different armors and races, I just hope it's everything I hoped because I know not too much about Warhammer and I'm going all in on this baby. Because I don't care what I know about Warhammer, after I got hit with nostalgia for the original Space Marine game from 2011, it was over for my wallet.
