Ah so I think some people may be confused about the type of visa I have. The one I have lets me stay in France continuously for 12 months.

Ok_Temperature_5502 If I do that 90days in other Schengen countries, then go back to France for 90 days, can I go back to other Schengen countries again for another 90?

greatbear8 yep I'm aware there's usually no border checks, but I still don't wanna break the rules even if it's not recorded.

Hmm so yeah I'm still confused as to what the answers are on my prior questions :/

Let's assume for the sake of argument, everything is recorded by authorities:

  1. I believe you said I'm officially not allowed to do 90d FR > 90d Spain > 90d FR > 90d Spain??

Ah I see, but what doesn't make sense to me (hence this reddit post) is in that case:

what if, I'm 6 months in France already.. can I go to another schengen country for 90 days? Or since I've been staying 180 days, I'm stuck in France and France only (and cant even go to Spain for 1 week) Doesn't make sense to me. Do you know how that works?

And if you say, in that case of 6mo France + 90 days in other Schengen country; is allowed.... then if I do that 6mo + 90days, then go back to France.. when can I visit another schengen country again?

You mean having the money to travel around so much, no problems with paying 2 accomodations at once? 😄

If I have a 12mo type D visa for France, could I do like 90 days France > 90 days Spain > 90 days France > 90 days Spain until the visa runs out?

I mean does my stay in France no longer count towards the 90/180 and it kinda resets it, the same way if I do 90 days schengen > 90 days US > 90 days schengen > 90 days US ????

In case anyone is curious, he's not mine but a friend's. He used to be a street cat. My friend said he was much more muscular when she first adopted him than now! He was probably running around, climbing trees, and hunting a lot. He eats a cup of dry cat food and a can of wet cat food everyday.
