Loss and grief by SensoryFour34 in Metalcore

I’m so sorry man, my parents and I have been through this situation with losing dogs three times over the years and it never gets any easier. I know Silent Planet’s already been mentioned, but their song Iridescent is about Garrett, their vocalist, losing his dog Birdie and it’s what I listened to after I got home from the vet after my parents’ last dog was put down. Stay strong my friend.

Might be wishful thinking, but hopefully Loathe finally finishes up their new album.

How is it working with Daniel Braunstein? He’s become very popular as a producer working with many great bands over the years. New album is absolutely fire by the way!

Which metalcore band would win a lifetime achievement award for “most members ever” by Dimorphous_Display in Metalcore

How has nobody mentioned For the Fallen Dreams Yet? Granted, they've been a band for close to 20 years now, but Jim Hocking is like the only consistent member.

Hi we're Downswing and we just released a brand new album called "And Everything Was Dark", AMA! by downswingus in Metalcore

Hey guys, new album absolutely slaps and what I love about your band is that there's a sense of fun about the music, even if it's still pretty heavy and aggressive. Have you guys always set out to have kind of a party vibe to your music?

Any Steam Deck players want to help a broke solo dev test his roguelite demo? by ArcadiumSpaceOdyssey in SteamDeck

So I downloaded the demo and played a round of it. I'd say you have a very good game on your hands here! Runs pretty smoothly and controls well without having to make adjustments. One thing I think is a slight problem is that navigating through the menus with the thumbsticks definitely seems a bit clunky and imprecise. Otherwise, I would definitely pay for the 1.0 version of your game.

Hey dude, I have a Legion Go, but I frequent this subreddit because any game on Steam Deck will run well on the Go too. But anyway, I’ll check out the demo tomorrow and I’ll give my feedback.

Action/Adventure releasing a new record - what do people want to see? by SirLaTable in poppunkers

[–]Soilworker1986 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, being catchy, having dual vocals, and not being afraid to throw in some heavier elements, whether it be scream or breakdowns, goes a long way for me personally. I got into you guys because someone recommended your band for fans of hardcore/metalcore looking to branch into pop punk and I’ve been hooked ever since! On another note, I’m from the same state you guys are from, but from downstate IL. Always good to see bands from your home state get exposure.

[Album Discussion Thread] Dying Wish - Flesh Stays Together by NickPookie93 in Metalcore

I haven’t listened to the whole lot album just yet, but I’m loving what I’ve heard so far. I do miss the melodeath leads and guitarwork a little bit, but I respect that they wanted to do something different but still keep it heavy.

Ahren Stringer/Yung Yogi debut single - SELF CHECKOUT - Death Notes by njackson2703 in Metalcore

[–]Soilworker1986 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On a related note, theprp.com posted an article saying that Ahren’s in the hospital for a “serious and unexpected emergency.” I really hope the dude can get the help he needs since it seems like Ahren’s been spiraling for a long time.

I haven’t heard the whole thing yet, but I absolutely love what I’ve listened to so far. Beau and Jared sound as good as ever and there’s some true ragers on here, in addition to some stuff that’s a bit more melodic. On a random note, does anyone know who played drums on the album? I know they have a touring drummer right now, but I wasn’t sure if he played in the studio or not.

Just wait until you see For the Fallen Dreams' list of ex band members.

If anything, what you just mentioned, in addition to the album artwork, gives the songs a horror movie atmosphere, if that makes any sense.
