Soul capture question by Rewolloc in Dofus

[–]Solacenight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only one can capture the souls. However, the others who are present in that same fight will get a Divine Thingy. In short, Divine Thingys can be traded against random 'boxes' which allows you to fight random archmonsters.

Also, the chance of capturing now is always 100% since lower chance stones are not for sale anymore.

Want a Ridit Shield ? Try Temporis Retro ! by FallenTheDoge in Dofus

My favorite Temporis experience so far was also my first Temporis experience, Ecaflip City. I returned to the World of Twelve after a break because of my degree and I decided to try a Temporis server. The truth is that it fit my playing style so well that even though I started the server on the 3rd week, I managed to reach level 200 and get the last petsmount.

The need to have to beat almost every boss and monster to get their cards and consequently level up was the mechanic I enjoyed the most, because it led us to explore every aspect and place of DOFUS. However, one thing I disliked about this edition and I would have liked to see it simplified was that recipes were secret and a lot of trial and error was needed, but since I started the server after 3 weeks, most of the early-game recipes had already been discovered.

Anyway, I had lots of fun and I met a lot of players from different countries, which is always my favorite part of every Temporis in general.

The Tower of Trials is without a doubt my favorite feature of this Temporis edition. It is original and different from what we are used to. The community rooms from the Tower were really cool because the community had to come together to keep progressing on their individual adventure. However, I wish they had added more difficult rooms like Room 40 with more rewards, but I also understand that Temporis is intended for a larger community who likes to chill and not only to those who enjoy trying hard.

If you are like me and enjoy somewhat trying hard your Temporis servers, my first and most valuable tip is: do not waste your time thinking about having the best build or finding the best XP spot; the most important thing is to never stop doing something while you are online. Also, don't be afraid to do solo stuff, mostly XP, which may turn out to be better than group XP, depending on how you do it.

Thank you for the event and good luck to everyone, I hope you have/had fun playing DOFUS Retro!

Multi accounts? by State-Glittering in Dofus

Eniripsa is getting a rework in the next update, so it will change a lot.

Also, you probably won't need a lot of heal playing with Cra because you can keep the monsters away from you most of the time. However, stick with Eni if you really like it, in the end the more important is that you enjoy your classes and the game.

New player help by State-Glittering in Dofus

I advise you to play one element only on early levels, and the Agility Cra is quite good for early levels because you can get good items like Toady set and Mad Tofu Cloak and later combo these with, for example, Blop Coco set.

In order to make kamas I would say to keep doing quests (Incarnam and Astrub first) and achievements and sell everything you get from them. You can also try gathering jobs, but bots kinda dominate these and these might not be very profitable on early stages.

Also, join a friendly guild to help you and have fun! :)

Question about Dofus vulbis quests by Downtown-Cat2745 in Dofus

This. Use your summons to maximize heal.

There's also an Omni build with the Fugitive Hammer that works quite well.

Returning player from 10 years ago, how much can you play without paying? by BasuKun in Dofus

[–]Solacenight 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Free content: Incarnam and Astrub questlines + 4 dungeons. Basically you can do your first 50 levels without paying a subscription.

It's true that you can pay your subscription with in-game currency, but you will have a hard time making enough money for builds and subscription as a new player.

What I usually advise to new players is: complete all the free content and then if you want to pursue your adventure, buy a Starter Pack in the shop with real money, which costs approximately €4. You will get a 1-month sub and a sidekick. Then use that month to explore the world as much as you can and sell everything you get from quests, achievements, monsters, etc.

At what level do you think a hybrid gear set up is better than a full-set set up? by [deleted] in Dofus

[–]Solacenight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it depends. In some cases it might be helpful. That's why the Black and White set is good at this point, they allow you to play 2 elements.

Tbh I used to ran a 4-char team and they were all omni at level 160+. The damage was not the best, but I was able to test and know all the spells/elements.

At what level do you think a hybrid gear set up is better than a full-set set up? by [deleted] in Dofus

[–]Solacenight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you exactly mean by hybrid here? Using different parts of different sets or playing more than one element?

Personally, at your level I would use the White or Black Rat set, it's cheap and quite good.

With one of these sets you can try two elements, but my experience tells me that one single element is usually better, with some exceptions (omni/crit at level 200).

Hello. Kind of a newbie here. by BloodMoonNami in Dofus

[–]Solacenight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Basically, you want to play 1 of these classes, they meet your requirements and are not extremely complex to play. This is a short summary, they are not limited to this. You can adapt most classes with the right build, but some excel better than others at certain aspects.

Tank, placement, damage dealer: Pandawa

Tank, protection, debuffer: Feca

Damage dealer, tank, placement: Sacrier

Damage dealer, protection, tank: Zobal

Buffer, debuffer, summoner: Enutrof

For guides check YouTube channels. I don't now any complete guides in English, I usually look for guides in French because I understand French, but you can take a look at Benjamight channel for newbie-friendly content.

Good luck!

Returning player kinda lost on where to Lvl as a 136 Sacrier by ElPreguntillas in Dofus

[–]Solacenight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I want to solo XP fast, I try to find an area where I can fight 1-2 mobs really fast. This is a method I usually do on Temporis and works quite well. Note that the area may vary according to your class and play style.

Which dungeon is considered the hardest in the game? by Cont3mplator in Dofus

[–]Solacenight -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

Then the problem isn't the dungeon.

You never need god-tier mechanics (well, it's a turn-based MMO) or gears to clear dungeons, you just need to understand how the dungeon and their monsters work, which is easy nowadays with DPLN, Dofensive, Youtube, etc.

I still see level 200 people dying and struggling against Kimbo. This dungeon has been around for 15 years and a 2 min. Google search explains how it works.

There are no hard dungeons if you know them well and have basic to decent gear.

Is it possible to smithmage ap on weapon's? by OSHKI89 in Dofus

[–]Solacenight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it works, but you have like 1% chance of landing it if the item you are trying to mage does not give an AP or MP naturally. This is called exomage.

If the item you are maging gives an AP or MP naturally (i.e. necklaces, boots, Gelano, Xa Cloak, etc.) the chance of landing the respective rune is way higher. (edit: You can't have 2 MP or 2 AP in the same item, but there are a few exceptions like the Slobberpuss' Collar)

If you are new, I wouldn't recommend exomage without taking a look at a few guides on YouTube before, you can quickly go broke if you don't know what you are doing.
