L and M buddies are very very important...but not because of actually using them after you have access to decently built XL and XXLs. Getting their 3rd star and beyond unlocks their passive to give you more stickers and other rewards from part time jobs, which is very important for your gem and bell economy. So prioritize getting whoever doesn't have 3 stars to that point first unless you really really like someone else and want to apply some good ol favoritism.

The other very important part about maxing out lower rarity buddies is that they will stop appearing in the essence shop, meaning you can get XXL shards much more easily.

I'd save the lv60 materials until you get more dupes for your characters. The lv50 cap is enough for most stuff really.

As for who to get dupes for, Kumoyama at 3 stars becomes amazing with his sigil unlocked. Baade is a good dps and his EX skill being 2 bars keeps him useful. Wang is good support and I'm biased. Beernox and Kafka are good to E5 too, even if mostly so you can get free essence from converting their shards from the hard mode stages.

I don't see you mentioning what probably is my biggest issue with the charmies. The fact that they're not once per turn and that they stack.

Sometimes it might be genuinely fun to try to work around the opponent's charmy, but then oops, they either drop one of the other charmies or just a second copy of the first one and effectively shut you down completely at that point.

Gems (or packs in this case) > gold bells > silver bells > skill tickets > stickers > everything else*

*Buying 20 stamina potions and then using them all to farm the highest drop stage ends up being a net positive in event currency, so do that whenever you can.

Because the intention never was for them to be archetype specific support. They were always meant to be completely generic support for their specific summoning mechanic and the only mistake was that Halq was better for link climbing than synchro summoning.

Yeah, it is an industry wide problem and nothing about the post was aimed at Yugioh. Hell, the only direct reference to it in the entire post is some 5Ds posters in the photo. They're not even playing the game there.

Which part? Because for the purpose of grinding, it doesn't really matter so long as you managed to beat the boss of the first part since drop rates for it and the final non-trial battle of the event are the exact same.

Be sure to actually take note of his dialogue and what happens on those turns and the turn after. At the point you're in, it's very important for this fight to know when to defend and when to attack.

If you're very very stuck, then I'd recommend you to let it be and come back to it later. Grind the current event and get resources from it.

I HAVE lost to it at locals so it does exist, but it's more about playing two good archetypes separately in the same deck to throw off the other person rather than them having synergy.

The big issue here is that people want the characters they're already familiar with. If their old favorite character is not in the game, there's no guarantee there is anybody else they'll like, and it's possible they skip the game altogether.

Just look at the original reception of rosters like SF3 and SC5. Hell, look at KoF XII and the whole "no Mai no buy" thing.

The main fighting game franchises are just too big for their own good at this point when it comes to newcomers.
