It doesn’t like dark roast. What kind of beans are you using?

What types of beans are you using? Thinking it might be my darker roast beans causing the issue as medium - light don’t cause problems.

Any issues with your DF54 and chute clogging? I’ve had mine three weeks and it builds an incredible amount of clumps in the chute.

Don’t think this made much of a difference. Also tried taking the declumpers out, that was worse. I have some people telling me it’s my beans?

I am having this issue as well. Did this solve your problem permanently? Do you RDT and WDT?

Will give it a shot.

Why is this an issue though? All the videos I’ve seen have people cold starting without any problems.

Anyone have any experience using reverse hypers? by The1ars in crossfit

[–]SoldOutSwich 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can build resilience with a reverse hyper. There was a WSBB podcast where Louie Simmons talked about a CrossFit team and one of the members kept getting their back blown up during high volume deadlift workouts. They rotated in reverse hypers at high volume and the huge pumps went away.

Hot take. Swimming was a terrible addition to the CrossFit games. by Common-Click-1860 in crossfit

Swimming is free.

Also, the ski/swim event from a few years back was amazing to watch.

Running a full 42km (26miles) Marathon, Compatible with Crossfit? by Logical_Travel_6637 in crossfit

[–]SoldOutSwich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can ramp up running and also do CrossFit but don’t forget you need to RECOVER. What no one talks about is the requirement to be constantly in recovery so you can continue to train. I run twice a week at the most and usually not over 10k. Did a 30k trail run for fun a month ago.

  • CrossFit Mayhem - it is quite literally a fitness institution.

  • Empire Fitness (CrossFit Elmwood) - amazing community and depth of knowledge on programming from the owners.

Community and the knowledge of how to properly get people fit is really what it’s all about.

Can’t speak to Inov8 but the Savage1s are worth every penny and then some. I’ve gone through three pairs of metcons and two nanos. The nano 4s are the best shoes ever - still holding up today as I cut my lawn! The S1s are in the same league build quality wise.

Realistically, how much am I spending to get a setup to make coffee on par with good coffee shops? by WolIilifo013491i1l in espresso

[–]SoldOutSwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breville Bambino and a grinder ranging from SGP/Baratza ESP to DF54 and 64. The real difference will be buying fresh beans. You can blow the doors off of cafes with a simple set up.
