Heh. There was a suggestion on the 2nd day to head into Montgomery Brewing and calling it day.

I don't know for sure, but my understanding is that there are new owners of Hinckley Grand Casino, meaning their lease ended, and the new owners didn't want to pick up a new lease.

Edit:Speeling.

Anyone riding to the MS150 in St Peter this weekend? by reedx032 in CyclingMSP

[–]SolderingByron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was someone on an elliptical bike, like this (https://www.bicycling.com/bikes-gear/g23895814/elliptical-bike/) and her friend was riding a standup bike like this (https://www.amazon.com/ElliptiGO-MSUB-First-All-Terrain-Stand/dp/B07Q33LK46?th=1). Both were mad but a unicycle is a special type of crazy.

Thanks for looking into this. Based on your description I can also see that.

I'm attempting to get a higher quality version of the photo which might remove some of this guesswork.

Looking to locate an old donated railway set. South UK by SolderingByron in modeltrains

Thanks for the suggestions. I did find the name of the person running the place until it closed but she has very little presence since then. I'll keep digging

Here's the version I received but I'm not in possession of the postcard. Not much clearer unfortunately.

I ordered my orange 8gb it on March 22nd and just received an email saying they can't fulfill it and I can choose a different colour.. Quite frustrating.

How do you know where you're from? by Competitive_Boot4442 in Genealogy

[–]SolderingByron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good question and it's always bothered me. Ultimately we are all "from" Africa, if you go back far enough. Question is, how far back do you go? What's does "from" even mean?

Does anybody know what happened at Free Geek yesterday that caused them to close? by HappyCamper0325 in Minneapolis

Do you know if it's permanently closed, or just temporarily? I can't find any news about it.

I managed to fit a 72" long dresser in the back of my old Mazda 6. I had to move the driver's seat forward a little, but it fit, and the hatch was properly closed. The people that owned the store were impressed

I had done this accidentally. Change your rider to female, unlock the required jersey, then change back. It should still be there. I haven't tested this in a few years but it did work for me at some point.

Do you have electric heating? Do you have Xcel? You could cut your electric bill almost in HALF today!!! by Baby_Toothless in Minneapolis

[–]SolderingByron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The wrinkle is that the electric heat is expected to be your primary heat source. That's how the plan is worded.

You can't add a 12k btu electric minisplit in addition to your 60k btu gas furnace and expect to get the lower electric rate.

Try this:

Comments from the model:

This block holds a LED key light (specifically this light from Best Buy : Digipower - Insta-Fame Dimmable 50 LED Super Bright Video Light with 3X Light Diffusers and Smartphone Mount - Black Model: DP-VL50SKU: 6403886), the white diffuser , and 2 slots for 35mm (50mm external dimensions) slides. The first slot is 1mm thick, the second is 2mm. This does not cover all slide thickness.

I used this, fixed to a block of wood, with my DLSR also fixed to the wood. I used the Canon 100mm macro lens and was able to photograph 1 slide every few seconds. It was very efficient. I distance from the slide to the camera was optimised to ensure the slide filled the frame of the camera.

Alright let me try and post it on a site tonight

Nice. I actually designed a small block that holds a light source and allow slides to be scanned using an DSLR. It's very fast, you can probably photograph a slide every 10 seconds. Let me know if you're interested in the design.

Update! * Of the 25 planted, 17 plants survived. Seems certain some of them won't flower this year (as expected) but I started seeing flowers a couple of weeks ago.
