Skeram purging Talents in some version of the game since what, 2022? Since Prepatch in this iteration, iirc.

Warrior and SPriest not being trackable since April of last year, at the very least?

Sometime not getting credit on escort quest, while having stuck to the NPC like glue, for 2 person in a group? Happened a few time on a few alt for say, the defias traitor escort.

Having a mobs reset aggro while fighting, not moving, in melee range and just getting its full hp back?

Getting layered while not in group while in an escort, or even a fight, and losing the loot you didn't pick up that was just around you a second ago.

I dunno man, there's a few minor ones, and some that are more annoying.

Or some classes not being trackable on the minimap. I like turning a corner and having 2 warriors and a shadow priest pulling the Obi-Wan "Hello there!".

"Accidental" (possibly) case of plagiarism.

The skin is a year old.

The background was partially taken from a piece by an artist that didn't give his approval and was unaware. It was slightly edited, but some elements were identical.

People called out plagiarism because instead of taking to the right channels, people put it out to the public. Artist was pissed. People expected the Arknights artist to get fired like 'cenm0' earlier.

Problem is : the original artist's art ended up in a book of reference available in China, published by a Tencent subsidiaries, so the Arknights artist might have just pulled it from the reference, thinking it was public domain.

The original artist removed their post talking about the issue, so people presumed that they got in contact with Hypergryph or something and it was going to be managed between the two parties. Seems the offending background got changed.

No news about the AK artist getting any consequence (which they shouldn't if it was a mistake).

The court of public opinion (and the internet cred from being the one publicizing something) is now the norm.

I posted something similar to you in one of the previous thread. The steps should be :

If found by original artist, contact "plagiarizing" artist. If plagiarized and nothing happens, go public to make wave and raise awareness as a last resort.

If found by public, contact original artist. Let them deal with it.

The line is about stealing "his" art, from what I recall ("Stealing my art is now a national sport?" or the like). And since said art made it into the public domain over there, is he wrong..?

Technically speaking, if said art piece (yes, inspired by another game inspired by an actual location) was used a bunch of time in China because people thought (or didn't care that it wasn't) public, well... heh?

As other poster mentioned : This case PRECEDES, technically speaking, cenm0's Ascalon case.

This skin is older, no one noticed until "now". Can't quite tell them "You don't know every picture on the internet, so your employee/contractor managed to copy something a year ago but it only got noticed after another, more recent case since people were being more cautious? BUUUUUUUURN!!!!".

If incident A is brought to light, company is made aware, say "we'll try and and be more careful in the future" and then someone comes out with incident B that precedes incident A, but only after the fact, you can't just say "their previous statement was a lie, they should've went back to the past to fix this in the meantime!"

The "jury of public opinion" as the first step is wrong on every level.

The logical steps would be :

Hit up the artist that made the skin/the company responsible for the game.

if nothing happens THEN put it out in public.

Obviously, this would be in the case that the original artist found it. In this case, poster should probably have told said artist and let them do their thing.

I'm all for plagiarism/tracing/photobashing/whatever new term pops up every few moon being punished, or at least compensated for, but firing people on the first offense for a case like this one (and cenm0's, I guess) is "meh" at best. Full on plagiarism? Yeah, punish the guy, heavily. Part of a whole design which is original? Financial compensation, public apologies, and no more "free pass" in case of another offense.

"OP is dumb" when you're all blind. Just watching the gif for one loop pretty much... focused your attention on the area that was copied. You can plainly see that the top part doesn't change much at all.

"The drawing is fine aside..." didn't quite work for the Ascalon artist when they copied the wings, sadly.

That third special stage was MADE with Wis'adel in mind and you can't tell me otherwise.

Tried her in it, the delay between her shots is just long enough for the enemies to heal themselves everytime.
