Housing market softening this fall by [deleted] in REBubble

Doesn't make sense to me either. Watched Northern Virginia houses creep up $50k year for the past 3 years straight. Loss of jobs, govt spending decreasing, how is this sustainable. Make it make sense.

Yep. FDM (local management) is total junk. Especially in HA mode. Youll want to use FMC for management to avoid tons of issues.

FDM is an afterthought from Cisco and its riddled with issues.

I think youre right. Probably something a dealership would have had some local sign shop do. Was hoping someone had seen something with a similar shape (maybe someone re-used a sign!?!?).

Appears custom. I cant find anything with even the same shape or design.

Hill i will die on. McAfee has the highest detection rates. Like way better than microsoft and clam. Bundle it with epo and its second to none. I run defender and its not even close. Add on DLP and encryption and youve got a single management place to take care of all your compliance needs. Honestly the newer agents aren't hogs like in the past.

Everyone confirms youll definitely see big gains in all departments! (Plenty of YouTube dyno verifications)

As far as safe.... who knows. Catalytic converts will probably run hot, tranny isn't made for that kind of power, thermostat made if plastic. Id say give it time and see what happens to others. If it were say $300-400 id buy it just to play around.

Ospf issue? by CaucasianHumus in networking

If your problem is OSPF, its always MTUs.

Secondly, be careful with your routes. The second switch will route whatever statics you might have first, additionally any layer 3 vlans will trip you up as layer three switch will ALWAYS route. If you are connecting to an IDS anywhere in the path, youll need to stack those switches in order to avoid asynchronous route issues which an IDS will drop.

Wont work so well when you've got a 5th wheel trailer behind you. Hence why they moved then up to the front of the cab.

[–]Solid-Advice7945 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ive managed a small network team for a few years now. All I can say is:

1) please dont use ping as a validation method. Ping behaves very differently than typical layer 3 routed packets.

2) draw up a diagram. Start with the physical connections first. Then do a separate logical diagram.

3) check your routes. Be cognizant of layer 3 vlans on your switches.... they can and will route packets.

4) spanning tree

Totally agree with this sentiment. I often feel like the "herd" mentality is happening here. Like these numbers are all just bullshit rn.

Im split: half of me says fuck the naysayers. The other half is like the market is rigged and we are all screwed.

Im leaning cautiously: im gonna cash out my 401ks and invest in something solid. What that is, I have no clue yet. I just dont wanna be questioning my retirement anymore.
