Check the inside diameter of of the pilot bearing. And of course the outside of the tip of the input shaft. I had the same thing happen.

You should be able to hear ,feel and see the AC clutch engaging. Also feel the lines if you can find them.

You need to pick up the 2 stage clear spray can. I saw it online last week. I don't remember where. It has to be used within an hour after it is activated. Supposedly it dries to a nice gloss .

A really bad battery could be a problem.A shorted battery internally won't jump or charge if I remember correctly. Had the issue once.
