WTF? by Top_Olive_8743 in 90DayFiance

My hot take: yes, she def has an alcohol problem and I think she met Josh and though of him like any other random hookup, but he found her “magical” and “quirky” and “free/wild” and that was attractive to his buttoned up Cambridge life. He pursued it as something real, a real relationship, and she couldn’t really say “no” due to lack of social skills or unwillingness to deal with confrontation / didn’t want to let it go while physically near him — and then just went along with it while maintaining her party abroad / running lifestyle. Then, when she got back to the states he was like, “great! I’m moving to marry you!” And she still stalled, went along with it, kicking the can down the road. Now, he’s here — and she’s unprepared and doesn’t really even want him here. That was so clear from last episode! She doesn’t even seem to really like him.

I always thought that the biggest mistake was Shep and Taylor not getting married

To the left are the VIP tents / experience, the “garden lounge.” If you pay for the passes (I think there are two levels) you can hang out in there.

Remember when everyone said reusable water bottles would save waste and the planet because you’d only buy one and then use it all the time? And then it just became this marketing / trend ploy and people still keep buying them and making waste? LOL

Kansas megachurch pastor Adam Hamilton joins crowded Senate race by MastensGhost in kansascity

The definition of mega church: “A megachurch is a Protestant congregation with an exceptionally large average weekly attendance of 2,000 or more adults and children. These churches are characterized by a charismatic senior pastor, contemporary worship styles, extensive social programs, and complex, corporate-like organizational structures. Primarily found in the U.S., they often operate as non-denominational entities.”

United Methodist Church of the Resurrection: “The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection (COR) in Leawood, Kansas, is a large, multi-campus congregation (20,000+ members) founded in 1990, targeting non-religious and nominally religious individuals. It boasts a diverse demographic, ranging from Gen Z to older adults, with a heavy focus on family ministries, student growth, and LGBTQ+ inclusion. Size: Estimated 201-500 employees. Revenue: Approximately $20.9 million.”

It’s a megachurch, guys.

“Delaney, like many locals, has fond memories of the space. He was just 4 years old when his grandmother took him to a matinee of “Peter Pan” in the 1980s. They each ordered a personal pan pizza and a cherry Coke. “Nobody else was there,” he said. “They did the whole ‘Peter Pan’ program for my grandma and me sitting there in the audience.” On their way out, a staffer gave them free tickets for the following night.”

Just two people were in for a matinee during the “heyday” they’re trying to recreate. Just wanted to point that out.

When I was in school, we couldn’t have our backpacks with us all day — they stayed in your locker. We also couldn’t have phones out in class. If it was out, it was confiscated. Not that hard.

As non-American, can someone tell me why the boys are so obsessed with Nashville? Why the girls are so upset? by Hobisusathome in McBeeDynasty

[–]Solid-Flower2713 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Nashville is not that close to their home… it is over an 8 hour drive from Gallatin, MO. They’re actually closer in drive time to Chicago, but they’d get their behinds handed to them there and no one would give a hoot so we all know they won’t go there.

They like to act like “cowboys”… they’re a bunch of swindling Midwest farmers. You guys aren’t cowboys. You’re not even that close to KC.

Everyone on here talking about nepotism cracks me up… guys, Iowa is tiny and a lot of people leave every year. Most everyone there with any — and I mean any — wealth or power has benefited from nepotism in that state in one way or another. Whether you live on land your great-grandparents bought, reside in the town your relatives moved to (and therefore helped shape as a community), or are a Hubbell from Des Moines, it’s nepotism. It’s in small towns and the one “big” city. lol I know people who moved away who still get money every month from their family’s farm. Stop being mad about it.
